Can you guys really blame Batum though? He is a civilized European, why would he want to play for an organization that has a big crybaby as an owner... and a team with a reputation of being full of thugs. Not to mention, Portland is a very gloomy city, lots of crime and homeless. Plus the team is pretty much going nowwhere fast. Last year they were a complete joke and mess. Bickering and pouting most of the season.
Meanwhile he has a chance to go to what most people say is one of the more promising up and coming teams in the league... with a roster that has one of the most charismatic PG's to come into the league in a long time.... has undoubtedly the best PF in the game who just signed a new contract. Just signed a player that Batum admires and has learned from in Roy. Has a coach that runs a system that is a perfect fit for Batums skills. Lastly is in a city that is clean, well managed, and some of the best fans on the planet.
The choice is easy.
