Yeah Minnesota wants to be the Blazers Retirement Center -- Roy, Webster, Adelman, and now possibly Batum. David Kahn loves him some former Blazers I guess.

Portland has 3 days to match after Nic signs any offer. Supposedly Batum does not want Portland to match, or to offer him a new contract. So my confusion with Quick's guess is the purpose of Nic's camp saying he is being offered 11+ a year if he is not? Why lie? We get to see the offer sheet once he signs one. So what would be the strategy here? All it ends up doing is making sure no other teams make Nic a good offer. This seems to be counter productive for Nic.

I think Nic is sick and tired of not playing with a decent PG, but maybe that's just me.

Minnesota doesn't actually have the cap space... yet. They could clear the space by dumping some people, but as far as I know, they don't have the space to sign him as of right now.

I don't know that the Wolves are definitely better. I think it probably depends on what Roy has left in the tank. You have a better coach though, that's for sure.

Don't try to challenge outdoors and hunting with the Pacific Northwest, don't even.

Flights on the other hand... our international options are terrible.

Apparently you missed Hollinger's or Simmons' tweet last week. He made a crack at how Minne was trying to be just like Portland. Then he linked to an article that said Minnesota was actually now the Hipster Capital of the US, or something like that.

No joke.

if we stay healthy with that core, easily 2nd in the division behind okc
we had major injuries at the end of last season that derailed everything

pek: bone spurs in ankle
kevin: concussion from javale mcgee swinging his long ass arms through
 
I understand why there is a lot of butthurt out there in Portland about this whole Batum thing, but if it makes you feel better I'm sure the Wolves would be willing to send Darko your direction to mentior Leonard!

So this means Nic will take 3 million a year less? This still does not seem plausible to me. Why wouldn't his agent be looking at other options. He wants to be with Rubio and Rick that bad that he would take less money?
