There are 2 ways to approach this.

A) Claim the Blazers were favorites and disparage anybody who disagreed.

B) Admit the Blazers were underdogs and relish their upset victory.

I am part group B. If you want to call me a bad fan because of that...go take a flying leap. This condescending crap needs to stop.

The blazers were the underdogs. They were the 3rd seed.

Game 7 on the road, on 21% of road teams have won the series. Blazers Win!!!

Much smaller % come back from 3-2 to do it.

Coming back from 17 down in a game 7 has never been done.

we should get a conference finals meet up going. Tuesday and Thursday may be too soon... But a game 5 meet up would be awesome. Whats the schedule like? I may have to miss it for work... But I'd love to do a meet up to watch a road game.
Game 5 will be in Oakland.

What this team has done since it’s starting center went down is amazing. Very happy Blazer fan here.
I could take out STARTING CENTER from your post and put SISTER and it would work perfectly! #BAM

If people want to bitch at the coach, team, or players when it's going bad they can. If they believe people should be fired or traded they can say why.

If people want to bitch afterwards about that bitching looking stupid in hindsight they can.

If people want to bitch about the people bitching about bitching they can.

If in this post I want to bitch about people bitching about people bitching about people bitching I can.

Some people like to complain when it s bad or when it's good or just a balance of praise and complain.

Do whatever you want people!
I was in a good mood but now you've made me feel like bitching about something, I dunno, anything.

Enjoy the moment. Stop trying to divide.
Hey, I'm a new member, but I am a bit confused. How is saying, "I love the team. Some "fans"not so much" being divisive, yet throwing shade at a player, coach, or team is not?

I have been posting on message boards of many sports since the internet began, and I have always found it funny when an opinion is "ok", but an opinion...of an opinion...is not.

Welcome to the forum!!! If you are actually a new member. :)

Their hand sign is Gary Trent's trade-mark, according to the players/team. Apparently, he's ALWAYS throwing that up.

What are you talking about? Those are not the only two ways...

Some people acted like we had no chance just because we lose or are losing a game and, especially in game threads, say terrible things about our coach and players and say things about the game/season being over. It gets really annoying. And those people have every right to say those things if they really want to be so negative, but they should be able to accept eating some crow after they're wrong.

Hmm...

Obvious is not so obviovs like obvious use to be obvious.

I guess I'm group B. The Blazers were underdogs to most observers in each of the first two series, but I, myself, have had in each series a bright flame of confidence they would win. Now they are clearly the underdog, but I strongly believe they have a chance. They certainly won't be swept, that's for sure.

Game threads are highly emotional by their very nature. I question how fair it is to judge people over that.

no need to judge anybody, we have ignore buttons that will clear it right up..game threads used to be filled with humor and comradery, last couple years they're filled with stupid rants, negative affirmations and bitching contests...not for me..I post more post game or halftime these days...I enjoy Brian Wheeler's approach to a game. He's plenty emotional but in a good way.

Stop making this about calling out other fans and "I told you so".

THE BLAZERS JUST MADE IT TO THE WCF!!!!!

ENJOY THE FUCKING MOMENT!

FUCK THE NUGGETS!

Totally totally totally agree.

I've been perplexed by the call outs (that aren't in good fun).

It just shows how fucking weird us humans are.

Seriously man. This is amazing. Huge Comeback. Why can't people just be happy?
Huh? Where was your happiness when you called our team “not very good” and a “steaming pile of shit roster”? I always believed in the team. I’ve enjoyed ALL the moments. Nothing has changed.

Dude. I still remember you saying you wanted to see a WCF this year during one of the games. You clearly wanted it so bad and the fact that the team has given you that is a big part of my happiness right now. ::cheers::
I'm glad we all get to experience it! This fanbase deserves it!

I've been following this team since 85. It wasn't as easy back then, but there was always Schonz on the radio and the Oregonian the following morning. My god has it been a challenge. We've only tasted the WCF 4 times in that span before today, with 3 of them right in a row. That's a lot of wandering aimlessly in the desert. A lot of dashed dreams in that time. A lot of dreary expectations. But it's days like this that make it all worth it. I don't think this team is done, and is only getting warmed up. Comparing this squad to the other WCF squads, we may not be as athletic and as talented, but this squad is led by two big moment assassins that those teams were missing. What more can be said about CJ today....one of the all time performances in Blazer history.
