Well I don't believe in bad trips. I believe that psychedelics will expose what needs to be exposed. The more you try and hide or "bad things" you try to sweep under the rug will now become the focal point. You are forced to accept it and realize you must do something about it. I would think your bad trip had more to do with what was troubling you, than the drug that actually messed with your head.
I have only took DMT once, so I can't be a spokesperson on the actual "true power" of it. I can speak for mescaline, LSD and pyslicibin. All of which which will give you a different experience.
For example: LSD, you are mainly in control. You basically see what you want to see. You can control your mind, etc.
mescaline: Well this is an intense visual and mental experience; I have never once had the so called "bad trip" many refer to. In fact, it is a very peaceful experience.
Mushrooms: This is the one drug that I would say that can be the most "intense" emotional experience. You get the visuals, but it is driving you. You have no control over the trip. It takes you for a ride. I've had many so called "bad trips" on this substance; but I actually believe they weren't "bad trips" I usually come out of it with a sense of needing to change something in my life and stick to it.
DMT: Okay like I said above. The most intense experience I had in my life. I completely lost control; but I wasn't scared. It was an intense peaceful experience. I think this is by far, the best psychedelic drug on the planet I've taken so far. Trumps everything and anything. You will see what you believe is GOD.
