No, but players coach Terry loves to give guys days off.

All we ever see is posters complaining about the heavy load the guys i mentioned are playing. You want them practicing hard and playing 5 on 5 between games?

Predictable.

It's not predictable after the fact. Bottom line, you never had a chance at NBA basketball. I had a heck of a lot better baseball career than you ever had in basketball, but i would never falsely claim i could have played MLB :bgrin:

You didn't listen to Stotts. He mentioned there are ways to load manage guys and this is an opportunity to rest Lillard, McCollum, Whiteside and Ariza and Nurkic needs some 5 on 5 floor time.
C'mon. Stotts doesn't know anything. We don't listen to Stotts around here. Unless it's something we don't like and we want to make it sound bad.

Okay bud.

Everything he says is bad. One of the worst coaches we've had for the blazers. Just not everyone has come around to where we are: The right side.

He doesn't say much. I agree with that. I absolutely hate the interviews. I dislike interviews by any coach before, after, or during games. I really dislike exit interviews at the end of the season and it's becoming even worse the interviews for media day. Nothing said is anything more than generic "Gotta put in the work" "Mental toughness" "Made the right passes" stuff you hear from everybody with a mic in their face.
Both teams played hard-

So Nurk is going to practice with the G-League Warriors.....and Santa Clara County just limited gatherings to a max of 1000 due to C-19.

All jokes aside, if Zach and Nurk are indeed the front line of the future, Nurk having the ability to space the floor from three would be very beneficial.
I agree and I don't see any danger of Nurk turning into Meyers. Nurk loves to bang and has a great sense of where he is on the court and where he should be on both ends. No, adding shooting touch to his game can only make him a better second option to Dame. Think of just how effective the Nurk/Dame pick and roll is and now imagine what the versatility that adding a pick and pop option would look like. Also they could choose to start the two man action further out at times if Nurk is a danger from outside. How could other defenses stop that unpredictability, especially if our 2 and 3 are able to space the floor spotting up. Then Zach can do what he does best by being there to clean up down low in our half court sets. Dame and Nurk being Stockton and Malone 2.0 with the right complimentary pieces... CJ can be Jeff Hornaceck, why not?

If Nurk gets a better 3pt shot we might be able to play him and Whiteside at the same time. Just put them out there and bang the shit out of other players.
I bet we see that happen especially with a line up like the Lakers.

He was pretty nimble when it came to blocking people on twitter though! Lead the league in BOT. Blocks On Twitter.

how will that affect his drpm?

i honestly want to see an experiment of this at the right time against the right team...

Dame
Cj
Collinz
Nurk
Whiteside

I still don't know how that works on defense. I am of the opinion that Zach can get out to defend the three point line and still have the agility and speed to get back to protect the paint, while Nurk and Whiteside seem to me to be a bit too big to move their size quickly enough to do the same... I do see that Nurk has slimmed down but again I'm just not sure he can be our post that closes on the three, now that the style of play demands that at least four out of the five players on court are able to.

Gives Nurk and Zach interchangeability in our double drags in transition instead of the defense knowing Zach is going to pop and Nurk will roll. Same logic can be applied to high-low situations as well.

And adding to your points about the 2 man game and also having a legitimate shooter at the 3 again...we saw a glimpse of how much more effective and versatile our thumb series (our base offense) can be having a combo of Rodney and Zach at the 3/4.

Besides the spacing benefits, it gives you another 2 man game option...you have to fight over the flare with Hood vs Hark...and that big or combo forward can't drop and protect against the pass as easily with Zach vs Aminu. Hood's post up ability allows you to flow into a post up off that flare screen like we would with Harkless. Tougher to switch that action as well since Aminu/Hark were more like sized and obviously not as skilled at taking advantage of mismatches as Hood/Collins.

Man, can't wait to see our team healthy again.

If only one of them had the foot speed to not get destroyed guarding PFs.

It's not about defense, it's about having two bruisers that can "accidently" throw a player to the ground and break them! Even if it's a flagrant the refs are only going to tag one of them with it. If we have to break Lebron to beat the Lakers sign my Laker hating butt up!

Even though it may not come as big of a surprise to us but Nurkic will probably be the most surprising player in the whole league in the restart. If he can come in and knock down 3s, that’s gonna surprise a lot of these teams cause they will not be expecting that. The Bosnian Beast aka Nurk Fever aka The Bosnian Machine is back and better than ever
