I originally was going to like your post until you started talking about them on the floor together. It would be a disaster of epic proportions.

Why do you think that? They could have a really good 2 man pick and roll with both of their passing abilities. Think we could give a lot of teams trouble with those 2.

Nurk sets the pick, they switch on the roll to cover nurk; lob city to Hassan
 
Start Nurk and Whiteside as twin towers against Rockets small ball. Stay for the media meltdown.

And they'd give up a wide open 3 every single time on the other end.

Plus Stotts rarely takes advantage of size mismatches on offense so he wouldn't all of a sudden change his whole scheme. Teams would just start daring Nurk to shoot jumpers which we don't know if that would be good or bad.
 
just for reference: when Paul George came back for 6 games at the end of his injury season, he averaged 9 points, 4 rebounds, & 1 assist in 15 minutes while shooting under 37% on FG's; he also had twice as many turnovers as assists

The thing is I don't expect, him back at full strength at least for a while probably some time into next year. Im still pumped for Nurks return though. Will basically be the most exciting thing that happens in Blazer basketball this year.

I'd say the most exciting thing was that super-nova stretch of games for Dame. That Nurkic was coming back sometime was expected. What Dame did was beyond anything that could been anticipated

That and the last time we saw him on a basketball court... wasn't a great image. It'll just be amazing to see him back.
I mean Dame going off was exciting in it's own way but not extremely exciting.

That's not going to happen neither of them can play power forward.

If Nurcules and Zman make it back soon as the Zer's make the playoffs and advance, well, you'd have to give Neil Olshey Exec of the Year considerations, wouldn't ya?

They has some 2 days coming up so Nurk should jump on those off day and Zach too.
 
so....it may be that right about now Blazer management isn't happy with Nurkic for saying he's back on a target date 9 days away when all kinds of things can go wrong between now and then...?

I dont think he’d have said it without speaking to them though, I mean I suppose its possible.
