Charania said February, around All Star Break.

When did he report that? Was that a while ago?

Today

Yes, I’m told Nurkic is targeting a return close to the February All-Star break. It would be a major shot in the arm in the second half of the season for the Trail Blazers, who have Hassan Whiteside manning the center position for now. Nurkic, I’m told, is making positive strides in his rehab from the leg fracture he suffered late last season.

Oh ok I can’t find that anywhere. Where did you see that?

Of course it's our luck that Nurkic will replace the one good addition to the team, Whiteside. The bad thing is that we now have Carmelo Anthony taking lots of shots and shooting horribly, worse than Even Turner did last season. So we have a crappy shooting PF and he'll still be there. We don't really need a star PF when Nurk gets back, just someone good enough to keep Carmelo off the floor, that Stotts "trusts" more than Melo.

Well one thing I can guarantee is that if Nurk comes back in February I will watch the games.

I don't really think our center position is what's been bad with the team. That seems to be working. He can take longer than February to come back if he wants.

He can take longer as this season is already shot - but only having him for the last 26 games removes what little hope I had to turn this around.

That means we can trade Whiteside for Love at trade deadline.
We currently have one center. That would leave us with one center, who just came back from a fracture and won't be ready for heavy minutes. There may be worse ideas out there than this. If you think of one, please don't post it.

How long was it between the time Paul George broke his leg and his first game back?

I still think Nurk will be back sooner than expected. And it will probably be unannounced. Just before the game we'll see a tweet "Jusuf Nurkic is active tonight"
At some point there will be no medical reason for him not to play. I doubt he will want to wait longer than that.

!!!
Hassan plays about 28 minutes a game, leaving 20 minutes left at center. You honestly think Skal and Tolliver are "working"? Our defense has been God-awful. If Nurk is ready, he's ready, no sense in holding him out longer unless we're statistically eliminated from the playoffs.

Only way you deal Hassan to the cavs is to make a package and get TT in return. Hassan has been very very good. His numbers are strong and his short range shot in the key is getting quite good.

Our center position hasn't been bad, but Nurk was playing at an All NBA level when he went down. He covers up a lot of other problems on the roster.

You will NOT see that level Nurk until next season at the earliest if you do at all. He will NOT return playing at that level.

I want so badly to be at the game Nurkic comes back for my guess is that crowd is like Dame playseries ender type loud.

looking at PG13's timeline needs context...

it was about 8 months but George played like shit when he came back. He only averaged 15 minutes and he only played 6 games. He even said he thought he came back too early, but just wanted to get some game action before the season was done

another bit of context is that George was about 50-60 pounds lighter than Nurkic. That's significant and it's probably certain that added mass means a little longer time to get back to basketball activity
