I guess we'll soon see whether it is you or I that is more in touch with reality.

This partisan smear campaign may work, which is why I believe we should burn down the system. All things being equal, these accusations are bullshit.

If it does "work" it means that some Republican Senators also voted against Kavenaugh...and conversely, if it goes your way and doesn't "work" and Kavenaugh is ultimately confirmed, do you still believe we should "burn down the system"?

Burn it down.

It's not working. Burn it down because it's not working.

...OK...so afterwards am I to assume that you have a master plan/blueprint for a perfect government?...or do you just want to burn everything down?

I do too, but, it's his fault for hurting them. He knew what skeletons were in his closet, and he decided to go forward with this anyway.

Edit: and he knew perfectly well what the process was like, because his job used to be working to defeat Democratic judicial nominees.

you have deemed him guilty already! wow

He's a proven liar - he lied to congress during his prior confirmation hearings. There's a lot of evidence now that he was in fact not a choir boy as a kid, so he's lying about that too. His work on the Starr committee and for the Bush administration involved a lot of dirty deeds, which should be disqualifying for a judge (he got confirmed to his current job by lying about those things).

So there's plenty of reason to reject him, without assuming the worst about his interactions with women. Again, this is not a court of law, he does not go to jail if he is not given a promotion to the Supreme Court. "Guilty" is not the standard.

Thats fair, I believe you can reject someone if you don't buy into there views but, however to so quickly judge a person with such serious accusations without any evidence whatsoever is dangerous.

...as far as the Senate, they have not even voted yet so he has not been rejected and there is still evidence/testimony yet to be introduced before they actually vote whether to confirm him or not.
...if on the other hand, you are talking about barfo's opinion alone, he's been very clear as to what his reasons/evidence is.

...that's what I figured...you have no plan other than to burn everything down...brilliant.

"Guilty" is not the standard

You advocate a ridiculous standard. The advice and consent process has been hijacked. Replaced with a smear process where any unsubstantiated allegation will do.

That is not due process, it is not even a workable process. But that does seem to be the goal of the Democrats these days.

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s latest defense against two sexual misconduct allegations is that he was a virgin in high school and for “many years thereafter.”

Kavanaugh claimed he couldn’t have sexually assaulted anyone as a teenager because of his virginity in a Fox News interview on Monday

oh dear god, that's the dumbest defense I've ever heard.

So being a virgin makes a person incapable of trying to fuck someone?

I'm surprised Trump hasn't tried that one. "I couldn't have had sex with that porn star while married to my 3rd wife, I was a born again virgin!"

...I was told yesterday that was a believable/plausible statement by Kavenaugh.

...Kavenaugh was part of a group of privileged youngsters who regularly drank to excess but he expects us to believe that he remained a "virgin" for many years after high school?

That's why an investigation is in order and what most people would like to see. Let the FBI dig deeper and see what comes up or are you afraid of what it might "expose"? The republicans on the other hand only seem to want to shove things through quickly without the proper investigation and vetting.
