They hitched their buggy to a dying mindset (religious right/old white men). Eventually a new GOP will arise from the ashes of this dumper fire of a presidency.

Democrats, for all their faults, targeted young(er) people, whereas Republicans targeted old people.

And it is still their option, so what are you complaining about? If he's not approved, it will simply be the majority withholding consent, as is their right.

And since Kavanaugh himself is a liar, as is the man who nominated him, there's not much high ground for you to stand on as far as anyone else involved being liars.

Yes, I hope they proceed. And change the rules for confirmation hearings to cut short unsubstantiated allegations. The Confirmations process is not a court of law, so allegations of crimes not on record have no place in the process.

That's a nutty position, but hey, let's assume that crimes can't be brought up like you wish.

How about non-criminal moral turpitude? Can that be brought up?

Or is your position that only good things can be said about a nominee?

Will that be true for Democratic nominees also?

Why have confirmation hearings, if you aren't going to allow any negative evidence to be heard?

Its clearly a charade, not a parade. Democrats continue to be exposed as petty, partisan hacks that will go to desperate and unethical lengths in the name of their party, even weaponizing sexual abuse claims.

You really need to educate yourself in the number of sexualt assault cases and how many go reported and from that how few result in convictions. Women get raped the second time when they have to go to court and thus the reason so many avoid that route.
 
Not sure if its credible, but there is a rumor going around Avenetti's "client" is a 4chan hoax. He vehemently denies it per Jake Tapper, but he put his Twitter on private earlier today.

The accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh have really brought out the desperation from Democrats and their pet media, but this latest piece of news floating around about the Avanetti scandal may really highlight just how bad they need a win.

As Streiff wrote on Sunday, former Stormy Daniels lawyer Micahel Avanetti announced on Twitter that he had “credible information” surrounding the sexual behavior of Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge. So good was the evidence that Avenatti said that he was demanding the opportunity to testify in order to give the evidence to judiciary committee and that all confirmation proceedings should be halted.

So confident was Avanetti that he appeared on MSNBC to tell Rachel Maddow all about it, as Alex Parker highlighted, and trumpeted his witness as some kind of Kavanaugh killer. He played it up on Twitter like this would be the story of the year.

Then suddenly, Avenatti’s confidence began to slip and before we knew it, he had privatized his account. The obvious explanation was that something had blown up in his face, and he had gone into hiding. What it was, however, remained a mystery.

Until, possibly, now.

According to a user on 4Chan, he and his girlfriend were behind Avenatti’s claims about having a bombshell witness, only the entire thing was a total prank. As he highlights in his thread, the man and his girlfriend used burner phones to convince Avanetti that the girlfriend had sex with Kavanaugh and Judge at the same time. She tells Avenatti to call another number belonging to the boyfriend, who acts as a classmate of Kavanaugh’s from his high school days and confirms everything.

Before they’re done, Avenatti is so desperate to have her come forward that he has offered the girlfriend $75,000 in order to appear on Anderson Cooper’s show on CNN. At that point, the 4Chan user claims he and his girlfriend backed off.
