If you believe there is no evidence, then you haven't been paying attention.

To turn it around, there is no evidence that the Democratic party is behind any of these women coming forward.

I haven't been paying attention to a lot of the details, but from what I've seen:

1. The accusations are coming from 3-4 women.
2. The incidents occurred over 30 years ago.
3. No report of the incidents was made to law enforcement until relatively recently. In fact I'm not sure if there has been anything reported to law enforcement to date.
4. Kavanaugh has denied the incidents occurred and multiple contacts of his from the period of time also profess no knowledge of the incidents.

This is just slander in my opinion. The investigation is likely to run its course, but it is clear to me that this is stalling.

Your opinion or any of our opinions don't mean squat. Do an investigation and let the truth fall where it may fall.

actually they have NO testimony under oath. What one might say in an interview can be completely different than what someone says under oath. The first has no repercussions but if you lie under oath it's called perjury. Do some homework.

Can't you EVER fact check before you post nonsense?

All of the witnesses Ford has identified at the party, including Kavanaugh, Judge, and another classmate, Patrick Smyth, have denied knowledge of the alleged assault under penalty of felony in statements to the Judiciary Committee.

1. Yes, 3 different women havr come forward (I haven't heard a 4th) thats a big deal.

2. So what

3. Most women don't report being sexually assaulted or raped due to shame.

4. Of course he denied it. You expect him to admit to it?

So in your opinion women can make up stories about anything they want covering any year they've been alive and disparage someone and the claim must be thoroughly investigated (sometimes for months) and publically reported? Do I have that right?

True. If he does get through, every single case he touches will be called in question and be stained by this.

Only in your dreams. Kavanaugh is a shoo-in now.

Once Avenatti entered the fray, the entire sham became obvious even to my most passionate anti-Trump friends.

No decent person would want to be seen with, talk to, or shake the greasy palm of The Creepy Porn Lawyer.

Next up, is Ginsburg being replaced by Thomas Hardiman or Amy Coney Barrett? :dunno:

There appears to be enough information worthy of an investigation. This isn't a criminal case but instead is a lifetime position which should be thoroughly vetted. Do you think it's appropriate to withhold 90% of the information the republicans have about Kavanaugh? Let's have transparency.

Not at all

As I pointed out, he already supplied written testimony under penalty of perjury.

He wisely and justly refuses to be a pawn in any further smear campaign.

As would anyone baselessly accused of a vague innuendo supposedly 30+-ish years ago at an unknown location by some psycho.

Likely will be suing some folks for defamation after this all dies down.

What is he afraid of? If innocent there should be no issue as I would jump at the chance to clear a friend of mines name and tell the truth rather than go into hiding like Judge has done. Is he like Trump and afraid of a perjury trap? Perjury can only happen if one lies.

He's past toast and is entering crouton territory.

Again, there was plenty of time to bring this up in the proper channels (i.e., not a last minute delay tactic). Multiple FBI Background checks, plenty of opportunity to bring this out other than 2 days before a vote.

Only a week? Why not a month? A Year? 2 Years?

...yes, because Republicans have never unnecessarily strung along a SCOTUS confirmation.

...please, just stop.

...that sounds strangely just like most of the GOP Senators...how do you know the women are making up stories?

I don't. What I do know is that the alleged incidents took place multiple decades in the past without any complaint being filed with law enforcement. I also know that there is little corroborating evidence for these stories. I also know that many people have come to Kavanaugh's defense. I also know that these allegations have been made precisely at the time that Kavanaugh is in the process of being confirmed as the latest member of SCOTUS.

...it's obvious the Dems are using this to their advantage but he fact that it happened long ago isn't the point...Kavanaugh has lied before and has now painted himself into a corner with his choir boy interview. This brings into question his overall character. As far as corroborating evidence, it's now a collective amount of testimony made by multiple people who've also had many people come to their defense.
...it will be interesting to say the least.

It's not odd that the allegations are being made now.

Suppose, as a hypothetical, that a few years back I'd sent you a string of hateful, extremely racist private messages. Let's also make you a minority in this hypothetical.
You might shrug and think "well, that barfo sure is an asshole".
Then suppose today Sly announces that he's putting me in as Race Relations Coordinator of the forum, because everyone thinks I'm the least racist person they ever met.
Might you be inclined to say something to the contrary, even though you'd never spoken up about it before?

I'm amazed that others don't follow this very, very, simple logic. Jesus Christ.

The ironic thing is whoever side wins this Kavanaugh nomination the opposite party is going to be energized in the November elections

ouch. Now that was direct and to the point.
