Chandler throughout his career has been a product of a good PG. Bottomline.
Yeah, he stands on top of the PG's back to get all those rebounds and blocks.

Grizzlies wanted Marc Gasol and the future picks in that deal. The expirings were hardly the selling point on that deal.
Didn't read enough about the Jefferson situation to remember one way or the other how that went down.
In the meantime, the Grizzlies are a team that needs to watch its pennies, and Gasols do not come cheap. His contract -- by far the biggest on the Memphis books -- calls for big money all the way into 2011.
Two years after being named GM he had the Blazers as a 4th seed in the playoffs. That's pretty much success right there.
If you want argue he didn't get the team into elite status that's one thing. You can't argue he didn't rebuild the team and turn it around. Two straight trips the playoffs sounds like successful rebuilding to me and the Blazers are certainly good enough to make it to the playoffs for a 3rd straight year.
Sac/Min/etc would kill for that.
Don't get me wrong, I was pretty upset when KP was fired. However, he isn't infallible as some would believe.
Not using RLEC was a mistake.
Hedo would have been a HUGE mistake.
The Claver pick was a waste.
Heck, it's debatable if the draft KP is most renowned for (06) was his doing or Patterson. It also seems he rolled the dice on players with checkered injury histories and while the strategy worked for a while, now seems to be coming up snake eyes.
well if this season wa$nt bad enough... blazer fans have now been told get ready to be lower theN twolves. fuck you paul allen.
• With the Trail Blazers' obvious struggles and the health challenges (that's putting it mildly) of Greg Oden and Brandon Roy, two people with knowledge of the team's strategy told CBSSports.com that Portland management is contemplating trading older players and going young. The obvious targets for such a purge would be Marcus Camby (36), Andre Miller (34), and Joel Przybilla (31). Roy isn’t old, but his knees are -- though one of the sources said Portland would find no takers for the five years and $82.3 million remaining on Roy's contract, given the state of his meniscus-less knees. Przybilla ($7.4 million expiring contract) and Miller (whose $7.8 million salary in 2011-12 is fully non-guaranteed) are eminently moveable. Another candidate to be dealt, though not because of age or health, is Rudy Fernandez, who has wanted out of Portland for some time. Sources caution that the Blazers have engaged in only internal conversations about this strategy, and it is contingent upon the team (10-11) continuing to struggle. But the writing certainly is on the wall for major changes in Portland.
oh good, we can try sean marks at center for the next 61 games. poor camby. so basically if we come out of this trip 10-16.... its over.
really? best we can do?
so we are getting a young stud pg???? ahahaha. cho is gonna do this????? ahahahahahahaha
Denver wants more of a proven younger player.
New Jersey wants Melo.
We're in rebuild mode.
I'd package LaMarcus/picks in this three-way for Derrick Favors and see if we get Denver to bite.
derrick favors.... oh my fucking god. you guys are unreal. maybe we can get flynn while we are at it or wes johnson.

i think all those guys like favors sucks balls
I'm for this. I don't think we're a playoff team right now, and I think we should move guys like Miller, Camby, and Joel to add some more young talent to Batum, Matthews, and Aldridge. If Oden pans out, great, but he's not part of the longterm plans. Roy is a question mark, but also not part of the longterm plans. I would look to add either a young stud at point guard (wish we had gotten Collison) or a post scorer. I don't see any reason to keep guys like Camby or Miller on the team if we're not going to compete. I'd rather play guys like Patty, Batum, and Johnson. See if they're really what we think they are.
Collison was had for table scraps. It can be done.

Huh? He's a max player for the next 5 years, isn't he? How do you not take this into account for the 'long-term' plan.
Totally.
Derrick Favors???
Good God.
