KINGS @ BLAZERS - GAME THREAD - 11/8/13, FRIDAY, 7 PM - NBATV

Excellent win! Now if we can just go to the Kings and beat them there I'll really be impressed.

So how about those mid range shots in the 4th by LMA? Kind of a nice weapon to have IMHO.

.

If Dame keeps this up, he'll go down as the best shooter in NBA history!

And the NBA really needs to cut it with all the ticky-tac fouls. I'd like to see a stat on the average calls per game plotted over a number of years, because it seems to have gotten so much worse. If the contact doesn't affect the game, don't blow the whistle.....but these god damn refs blow their cock even when no one touches it!

They shouldn't be blowing their cock on the court, especially if no one is touching it. :ghoti:

I like how the starters are performing well, but I wish they would get more punch out of the bench. I think it will come eventually, but I'm not sure that Lillard averaging 38 minutes is something that should happen all season.

I was expecting wright and Williams to have more production. CJ is still scoring hope as well. I wish t rob was our 6/6/1 guy off the bench

I think some of it is that they're not putting those guys in positions TO be productive. So far, after Freeland, I like Wright most of the bench players. Williams hopefully will find his groove, but so far he's not really making a positive impact. His assists are OK, but his shooting and shot choice is questionable. I think he'll get better as the season progresses.

Not sure what or how CJ will do. Hope he does well, or at least is one of those offensive spark plugs off the bench.

Robinson, as I've said a few times, just isn't being put in a position to take advantage of his talents. Maybe he's still raw, but he shouldn't be (as of yet) given the ball to drive to the hoop. His job should be concentrating on rebounding/putbacks and defense.

I agree with all you posted. I'm really hoping t rob carves a niche like you mentioned on this team. Maybe a psycho bench player?

Was at the game last night . . . it's like with a new name Moda Center comes a new crowd. A more sparse and subdued crowd. Any advantage the Blazers had playing home with some of the best fans in the NBA is currently gone. The seats were empty and the crowd gives a mild attempt of cheering the team on.

The Blazers have definitely gone big business. No more free tickets, no more filling the Garden for free where blazer maniacs are vocal from the very start. This year has big business feel all over it. There are some advantages to it (i do like the food options) . . . but I miss the RG being filled on a regular season night with a crowd that can be heard throughout the arena and onto the floor.

Maybe if the Blazers get some big wins and look to be a surprise team, the seats may start to fill up. Maybe Allen will miss the mayhem behind him and gives away tickets to fill the arena (two sections behind him had no more than 50 people in the whole section) or maybe I just get used to the new environment. I will continue to defiantly chant Chalupa with the crowd but it's only a matter of time till we go with the program and chant mick--ee--dee (although I don't think I will chant at all) and accept the new environment.

Oh and those free sausage McMuffins you get . . . the coupon expires in 5 days after the game. Welcome to the new corporate Blazers . . . no mayhem, no crowd, no chalupas, no HCP.

So it's as if the crowd is being sedated. Hmm...

I would not chant "mick-ee-dees" if you stuck the barrel of a gun up my nose. Fuck them. 20,000 cultists chanting the name of their corporate overlords? Scary.

Add in the continuing ComCrap fuck-up, and the resultant fan apathy, and at this rate it won't be long before I don't give two shits if they move the team to Seattle.
