KJ McDaniels Still Available

That's as maybe, but a GM who was planning on getting KJ probably wouldn't have gotten Harkless. I'm guessing.

After seeing some footage of KJ I have to agree with this. KJ seems like maybe a bit more highlight-reel version of Harkless.

I'm guessing he's not in the market for a SF after landing Harkless for free.

With the cap space and messing with other teams cap like a woman scorned, it wouldn't at all surprise me if Neil offered somethijg north of the MLE.

McDaniels seems a bit too much like Aminu and Harkless. If we're going to make an offer on a RFA, I say Tristan Thompson.

You have to think that at some point a GM starts to feel silly going round signing RFAs to sheets only to wait 3 days to have their team match them.

Ridiculous? Or sticking it to other teams? I know Cleveland is the other conference, but I don't care. Anytime we can force another team to spend more than they wanted, isn't it a win for a team like us? I say give Tristan a sheet and force Cleveland to match. We have to spend more money. He is a proven solid roll player. Doesn't matter cause Cleveland will match. Good. Id say anyone that fits what we are looking for, or could improve this team, toss them an offer and force the other team to spend more. Obviously this is a tip toe thing and you don't want it to back fire by getting stuck in bad contracts, but if played right, just like the Kanter thing, these could be win wins for us.

He's more smart than the rest of us

I gave up early after I realized that it made no sense..

Hiliarious. See Dviss, you just proved Mediocre man right. We all spent way more time than we should have, but you? ..."moving right along with regularly scheduled programming..."

I was hopeful until we got harkless. I've been indifferent since, although I still would've liked it.

Yeah we would have had to trade Harkless IMO. Packaged with another player. Not a bad idea if Neil thought McDaniel was better. But they look to be pretty comparable.

I wonder (and I may be the only one outside of Greece to do so) whether this means the Rockets will just let Papanikolaou go. They've got three people ahead of him now, and his $5M for next season will be guaranteed if they don't release him before the season (I think). Are they in luxury tax territory yet?

Well, that didn't take long to find out:

I think the Portland TrailBlazers, Should have Snagged the CENTER out of Washington his name ROBERT UPSHAW/ I know he's a little SHADDY,But he's 7' He is a True BIG MAN! The REWARD out Weighs the RISK!!! GOOD LUCK! BLAZERS. . . Kip Reed

Fucking Rockets are stacked again this year...

Howard / Capela
D-Mo / T.Jones / Harrell
Ariza / Dekker
Harden / Brewer / McDaniels
Beverly / Lawson

They kept everyone except Josh Smith, and added Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell and Ty Lawson...

Also, you just know they hid McDaniels on purpose, playing him only 33 minutes total... I am not saying he will be a star but to have him as a 3rd stringer at the 2/3? Shit...

Seeing how the West is gonna be a bloodbath again this year, I am kind of content with sitting this season out.

They signed Marcus Thornton too. Do the Rockets know they can play just five guys at a time?

If Lawson is a back up, shit will hit the fan in Houston.

1 yr minimum contract... seeing as how they had a ton of injuries last year, why wouldn't they have signed him?

Who knows, maybe he will be just happy to get out of Denver and play on a contender. Also, I imagined he would fit better coming off the bench but also playing alongside Beverly and Harden in a small ball lineup, with total minutes per game in the high 20s/low 30s.

He doesn't seem like the type to accept a lessor role.

small ball?
that line-up would be like midget ball

Yup, my interest in KJ definitely waned after we got Moe. But it wouldn't have hurt to have two athletic, high potential, wiry wings to lock up our opponents. Especially on that contract

I thought we already had two in Aminu and Moe, or are you thinking KJ in at the 2?
