Kobe Bryant has died

If I'm Vanessa Bryant, I am so mad at my husband for insisting on flying our daughter in a fucking helicopter to go to fucking practice. If Kobe had survived but not their daughter, I don't think it would've been possible to forgive him. And imagine being the parents of the other player, probably a friend of their daughter's.
Cool story. Maybe tomorrow?

Mad is the last thing Vanessa is right now.

Heartbroken

Lost

Devastated

Would be more accurate.

The Kardahsians are all trying to make this be about them because apparently this happened next to Kourtney Kardashian's backyard.

Then you would be a hypocrite.
The Bryant family has been using the helicopter as a main mode of transportation for decades.
Decades.

Sad day for all fans, players and anyone tied to or affiliated with the sport of basketball. I legend has left us for ever. One of the most intelligent basketball players of all time. Possibly the most.

RIP KOBE. Always had mad respect for you on the court.

Except apparently helicopters are safer than driving.

Damn. Just... damn. I woke up to it and my initial reaction is "No, nope. Can't be." But notification after notification... I was hoping it was a a hoax, a joke.

I never hated Kobe. I always had a disdain towards the media for the covering of superstars in general, but never him. The dude was fluid as hell and could get any freaking shot he wanted. It was well documented that he was like Micheal Jordan in that he was so intense and focused on winning, but just like that video from earlier showed when he was in Portland... he really matured. He did a really bad thing in Colorado, yes... but you could just see and tell from all the interactions (especially after his playing days) that he matured and was very likable. He grew from his mistakes... I have a lot of respect for people that can admit it and change.

Too fucking soon, man. Love the ones you love, help those in need. We all need it. We're humans man, gotta be here for each other.

RIP Kobe. You changed the world, I hope you know that. I hope you know you affected millions of people. What a gift that is when you can do something you love and affect so many.

There were 9 people on board, according to the press conference just now

Woukd his wife and surviving family be worthy of someone’s tears then? I expected this kind of reaction from you honestly. The psychology behind it seems interesting.
It's weird to me that someone you don't know would induce a tear because their spouse was a celebrity

I think the best tribute I can give him, and one that he would love, is that Kobe broke my heart more than any other player ever.

I often say watching Dame is like watching our version of Kobe. But nothing beats the original. Not only an incredible player, but a great guy, generous, a great dad, and businessman, and that smile. God bless Kobe.

It moved me to tears because he’s a father to four girls, and has a wife. I have watched him play forever and I have memories that are all good. I was an intern for the Warriors when Kobe was a rookie. He was a teenager playing with men and I was in awe. He made a mistake with his infidelity. All people have skeletons and make mistakes. He was a good man by any other measure and was dedicated to his daughters. My dad died last year and this brought back a lot of memories. So yeah. It moved me to tears and I am not ashamed to say it.

It’s part of being human and having empathy. You know how people cry during movies? It’s like that, only this movie has been going on for the past few decades and the tragedy was real.

No one should be told how to react during a tragedy. Our emotions come from several different avenues. Express how you feel. It's beautiful and cathartic in its own way. Cheers.

"Made a mistake with his infidelity" is like saying OJ made a mistake with his anger.

Neither were proven guilty in criminal court, but all evidence says they are. Kobe settled with the alleged victim and issued an apology.

Like I said though.....I feel awful for his wife and children
