I just read in an article that Portland offered Leon Powe a contract and that he turned it down. This was a quote from Loen Powe when asked if he had received any other offers from the one that he had signed.

I got offers from Portland, Dallas, the Lakers said if they didn’t bring Odom back that there was definitely interest, Memphis, and then Boston made an offer, but I had already told Cleveland I was coming.

It was supposedly a matter of the Cavs getting there first. Not Portland low-balling the guy.

We may differ in our opinions about what needs to be done to improve the team, but there's not much hyper-homerism going on around here. In fact, I'd say most people tend to go in the opposite direction to avoid getting tagged with the homer label.

Actually if you go to page three of this post ODENISGOD has made a pretty big bet that LMA will not be signed to an extension by the start of the season. So you might not agree with what he says (and I don't) but he is willing to back up his opinion with money.

People just get so angry if you go against what they believe and I truly believe that Kevin Pritchard has done a poor job of bringing veteran talent in here and also made a huge mistake with raefs contract and moving up and drafting bayless (who will be a major bust.)

There was nothing to negotiate and if you go back and listen to the ROY interviews from the past 30 days he was clearly getting real real pissed off himself. He had to have his college coach calm him down. Let me ask you a question. Do you think Lebron or D Wade will have to wait more then 5 seconds to get the same deal ROY got from the blazers from there own teams? Yet it took KP a freakin MONTH!!! because he was trying to low ball him on years and player options! I am mean what a joke! If he did that to ROY imagine what he's going to do to LMA!! can't wait for my free game!!!!!!!!
