<{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Honestly I value Kidd as much as the next guy but some fans on here are a little ridiculous with how valuable he is a player...I mean I wouldn't put him on the same level as Shaq or Garnett yet everyone here expects the farm for him.
I mean Kidd doesn't score that much and he's 35 years old...you can't take someones whole team for him...he's not Kobe.
A Lakers package should look like this either
Kwame Brown PF
Trevor Ariza SF
Jordon Farmar
Vladimir Radmonivic SF/PF
and either a 1st rounder/Ronny Turiaf.
(I actually think the Lakers would do this...and so would I we'd be solid two deep with all those players for years)</div>
Thank God, a rational Nets fan!
The deal that is being rumored out here is: Kwame, Farmar, Vlad or Luke, and 2 picks (at least one a first).
As a Laker fan, I'd like to keep Vlad because the idea of Kidd kicking it out to him when driving is beautiful. We need Vlad to get healthy, though.

A "rational Nets fan" should know that in most trades, Thorn either trades to rape the other team, or save some money.
The arguement that "Kidd doesn't score that much" is one of the weakest arguements I've ever heard, and proves your limited knowledge of basketball. After all, you don't need to score to contribute to a win.
And anyways, no way we'd pick up Vlad or Luke, their contracts are ugly as hell. However a package of Farmar, Kwame, and Ariza intrigues me. I forgot about Ariza in LA. I like Ariza, he'd be a pretty solid pickup.

The argument being that if you take some of the ridiculous proposals on here the Lakers lose almost 30 points in scoring a game and unlike a Kevin Garnett or Shaq 3 years ago Jason Kidd can't make up that deficit. Yes Kidd is a great player, yes he will dish and rebound the rock but jesus you think he's untouchable with some of your posts...he's not Lebron, he's not Kobe and he's not Howard...he's not at that level. Don't question my basketball knowledge ever...yeah I'll admit you do a great job of understanding offensive schemes and such but don't treat post like I'm a basketball dumbass...Im not. Maybe you should check your ability to be impartial regarding a trade before coming a me. Excuse me for not typing a 2 freaking paragraph essay on the implications of losing some many offensive players on the Lakers...I thought your intelligence was such that you would get my meaning.
"A rational nets fan knows that in most trades thorn either rapes the other team or saves money"
He raped one team...the Raptors...I don't believe there GM at the time is now currently employeed. Other than that he's made decent trades some that worked and some that didn't. You want to argue the Suns? When we traded for Kidd he was a wife beater who had never been out the first round of the playoffs. Stephen Marbury was 24 at the time of the trade and was considered a potentail superstar...WE GOT LUCKY.
JASON KIDD IS 35 years old...New Jersey doesn't matter to this franchise....Brooklyn does. We aren't a championship contender Jason Kidd won't make us a contender in Brooklyn but some young players and picks might.
And if you think you're getting Bynum for Kidd your off your fucking rocker.*(feel free to edit the F-bomb but I'm pissed and I'm gonna express it). Bynum is 2 years and 2 months younger than Dwight Howard and already averaging a double double! (12pts 10 rebounds...at 20!) That's Big Time...he could be as good a Howard one day...maybe better and you think we can get him for Kidd.
Where's your basketball knowledge.
I feel better.

Well said.
