A guy shooting 17% from 3pt (.311 career) doesn't seem like a good fit for Stotts' system.
Anyone else get Ruben Patterson vibes from Lance?

we could use a Kobe Stopper!!!!![]()

Kobe is his own "Kobe Stopper!" Kobe is shooting a dismal FG% this season. He maybe a leader in points, but the dude needs like 300 shots to score 10!
I think it's awfully short-sighted to hold "Stotts' System" above everything else. Stotts may only be around for another year or two. And a system that's built around long jump shots is not a great system for building a championship team.
I don't see any indication that the Blazers are planning on dumping Stotts anytime soon. If Olshey makes a move like this, I guess the handwriting would be on the wall. Until, then you give the coach what he needs to be successful within his system. lance is not that guy.I think it's awfully short-sighted to hold "Stotts' System" above everything else. Not necessarily. Just saying that we shouldn't only look for "shooters" to fit Stotts' system. We're too overly reliant on shooters, and we could use some diversification.Wait, so you are wanting to grab Lance Stevenson?

I haven't paid attention to Stephenson this season - sounds like he's doing horribly. However, perhaps we'd be better with him coming off the bench instead of CJ? I think Blake/Stephenson/Kaman off the bench makes us a much stronger team.
Maybe that's true - like I said, I haven't paid attention to him. However, his last two seasons with IND he sported a better FG% than LMA, so he can't be that bad offensively.I think our GM can do much better than Lance Stevenson to solve the problem of diversification. Lance isn't that good. In fact, he's actually horrid on the offensive end.

Your posts are awful. I'm really doing my best not to put you on ignore. Please stay on topic and stop trying to skewer people for their opinions and thoughts - which you wholly misrepresent in your vain attempt at "gotcha" posting. And a much much better FG% than Batum! Since you are full Batum homer, I can see why you want to take a chance with Lance, who is shooting a dismal 38% from the field

It would certainly be nice to have someone who can slash AND shoot, but we shouldn't turn away a good slasher just because they don't have a 3-point shot.I'm not saying that the guy that we trade for has to be a 3 pt specialist. I think we need a slasher who can create his own shot. But, if we're looking for an upgrade over what we have, he should be able to shoot from the perimeter as well. After all, Will is the very definition of a guy who can slash and create his own shot. It's his lack of a perimeter game (and his porous defense) that keeps him on the bench.
No, I brought up LMA to address your comment that Lance is offensively awful. It wasn't a "dig"; it was a comparison to show that - while, yes, Lance is currently awful - he is not nearly as bad as you proclaim him to be.pfft. you brought up Aldridge as some dig, I was just returning the favor.
