The team was fresh off the death of a close member of the organization, and a pretty major trade that sent three guys out of town. Plus we were also coming off a long layoff. The team was flat and I can understand why.

And we were on the road. And Utah got insanely hot in the 4th quarter with no chance for us to recover.

One game does not a season make. It was understandable given the circumstance.

I'll give them a break. But the patience is running thin. I still think they have lost maybe four or five more than maybe they should have to this point. Just do to the way they handle their business.

I don't them or their relationship to Jerome but I would bet the attachment was less than you hit on. The trade is understandable. But they had two full days to digest it. Top with having a week and half off. They should have been ready to go.

The trade was Thursday. The game was Friday. They didn't even ONE full day to digest it.

You're right about the two days.

LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard I believe knew a few days before hand if you listen to reports by Olshey. And I have to believe the whole team just based on heresy knew maybe weeks ahead.

Besides. I did say I'd give him them a pass.

Good. You might want to give them a pass tomorrow too. We're playing a very good team and we are incorporating new players. Patience.

I don't think I'll have to. I think we will get a passionate, energetic performance out of them tomorrow night. Unless there is something deeply wrong with the club.

I just don't think they will let Memphis beat them twice in their own home. Three straight times in the season series.

I picked the perfect game to miss.

I would say the last Dallas game would have been the one to miss. That game still drives me nuts when I think about it. This game was just like "well shit, nothing was falling."

The Blazers tend to bounce back well from losses. Just compare our win streaks to our losing streak and it shows that the team has a lot of heart. We may lose a couple in a row going into the playoffs but it'll be worth it to get the new guys into the flow come post season. The West is insanely crowded record wise. We weren't the only good playoff team to lose last night.

Scoring 76 against the Jazz hurts me worse. Dallas is a really good team and Carlisle knows Stotts playbook pretty well

Knowing and not knowing a playbook doesnt excuse that meltdown. That was an ENTIRE team failure, from the coaches to the players. Whereas last night was just a shitty night. Every team has one of those.

That and the Minny game really pissed me off.

i'd hit it, even if it is a computer image.
I mean... umm... the loss doesn't bother me that much, now if they look flat and uninterested tomorrow i'll be pissed.

That chic from the Disney Hercules movie was the hottest!

Agreed. And why did the death of Kersey have to be a negative? Why couldn't they have devoted this game to him and played even harder? I'm really tired of watching other teams outhustle us on both ends of the floor.

I'm done biatching about it. But I do get tired with what the coach says them playing the scoreboard or in other words playing with the game, IMO. Just go out and lay it all there the way Jerome did. I miss those days.

Just go out and be dominant. Unless you're not. I personally don't believe that.

I personally believe the association top to bottom has never been this good.

The Jazz are considered a bad team and their still ripe with talent.

Take off the rose colored glasses. Not a good sign. But whatever.... Our team is as consistent as Batum.

Consistent heart.... lezgo.

Speaking of which, has ANYONE heard ANYTHING about when he'll return.

Last I read he was a limited participant in practice this last Wednesday and is getting closer to a return.
