We should bring in pierce and kg for both like a 2yr 7mill contract. Kg could really help mentor meyers, and hes still a capable defender. Pierce is still a good player i see him as like what caron butler is to okc right now. Hes still effective in the clutch. Pierce can play pf and la at center with mtthews batum and lillard during crunch time.

Id be happy if they could average 20 minutes and neither of them will be expected to start. They also might consider if we sign both of them because they love playing together.

Also we could bring in kirk hinrich for maybe 2yr 6mill? And trade wright freeland and a 2nd round pick to okc for nick collison. I really think a 2nd unit of hinrich, mccollum/barton, pierce, collison, garnett/collison + the starting lineup could take us to at least the conference finals.

You want LA to play center again? He doesn't want to play center. So, there's that.

MLE is not enough money to offer one player a 7 million dollar contract, let alone two.

Based on the suggested offer of 2y/6M for Hinrich, I assume he meant $7M total over the two years for each. Of course, Pierce will most certainly get offers of greater value than that.

It's still not enough.

LMA doesn't like KG

McHale was the last person who could restrain Garnett--who could channel Garnett's energy constructively. Rivers bailed out of Boston because Garnett's too-hard example trickled down to teammates as much as Aldridge's too-soft one does.

Garnett's gonna have to borrow Paul Pierce's wheelchair soon with the way he's been playing.

My only regret with Bayless is that he didn't run Garnett's ass over when he got down on all fours and barked at him.

Don't want KG for any reason. Guy's done, plus he is a total asshole.

Go Blazers

KG still has a year on his contract. I bet the Nets hold onto him for a trade. Once the Lakers are effectively eliminated from the playoffs 20 games into the season I bet they entertain a KG/Marcus Thornton for Kobe trade. Gets the Lakers out of that final year of Kobe contract and sends him to the only owner willing to eat the salary of the leagues highest paid player.

For the Blazers, sure I'd consider Pierce for the MLE but I bet Brooklyn offers him that much and without a starting spot here I just don't know why there would be any allure for him to come. Pierce doesn't seem like a player who enjoys changing teams; if he goes anywhere else I think its back to Boston. They could trade for Love or some other Vet.

I wanted Bayless to fire a bullet bounce pass into his chops. :)

Pierce and Garnett? Not just no, not just hell no, but hell effing no.

Character matters.

Pierce, hell yeah.

Lillard
Batum
Pierce
LA
Lopez

Bench - Mo, Wes, Barton, Robinson, (someone better than Joel Freeland).

But Garnett, no way!

Pierce only played 28 mpg last year as a starter. He'd be great as a 6th/7th man at this point of his career. I'm not sure he even knows what defense is at this point, though, so you can't start him. He certainly didn't even try to play defense for the Nets last year.

Well I like Wes better off the bench then Pierce, as Wes would bring more energy, but either way I'd be happy.

Pierce is a scumbag.

No, no, a thousand times no.

Pierce played for 15 million last year and he is going to choose to come to Portland for how much? If he settles for the MLE then he will have lots of options. I just don't think he will choose Portland.

Whether someone likes Pierce or not (Im not too fond of him myself) he is EXACTLY the type of veteran that we need to lure to our bench. So if there was a way to get it done without too much damage I would be all for it.

Here I made this generic form you can cut and paste for all your answers. Add f-bombs as you see fit for dramatic flaire.
