Effectively yes, but not outright like expressed in the video.
If you tax the upper 1% by 90%, then that is absolutely a cap on profits. When you support raising more on corporate taxes, that's another cap on profits. When you eliminate corporate subsidies, you are capping their profits. Bernie Sanders is using emotional verbiage to dodge the real wording here. He can't outright say "cap corporate profits" because that's a "bad word".

Aw bull Mags. You could explain how all this works and how is a huge damper on effort to work for the employers. But hell, educated people should already know these things. Sanders is simply pandering for the vote. He doesn't give a shit whether anything works but he does know that the people that will vote for him don't know either.

Ha! Do I detect envy?
It's pretty hilarious because throughout my life, I've put in 4-5 years of not being paid even min wage (had to pay employees and vendors first) and working long hours 8am-8pm to get my business off the ground. I had no health insurance, or subsidies. I actually had to do a lot of shit for free to get my business off the ground.

With that hard work, I became successful and now I'm considered lazy because I post in here? I could give a shit less of what anyone thinks of me because I paid my dues.

And here's the funny thing.... The big money corporations can afford to move outta country, avoiding tax, piggy backing the free trade agreements the US put in action, while having their corporations in countries that limit corporate tax. The people hurt are the middle class that can't afford to do this. They are the true victims here.

great definition of a politician

One man's Socialist is another man's Christian. And perhaps it's because our parents and/or life circumstances taught us that there is more value in treating our fellow humans with respect than there is in kicking them in the balls. We're all in this world together, like it or don't. And if I shit on someone, they're likely to shit on me. I prefer to use reverse psychology in that area.....

I am sorry there Cliffy, but I can not understand at all why you made this jump. I think socialism and socialist policies are a disaster and extremely stifling to self motivated people. That
in turn, will harm those that depend on them for opportunity. I don't think there is a kick in the balls anywhere in this idea.

Well, there's a reason charities exist. Donate away until you feel like you're treating your fellow humans with respect.

The unfortunate side effect of things is that welfare breeds dependency which is not at all treating fellow humans with respect.

I bet your muscles were aching from lifting boxes and you died early! Oh wait, you're pretty plump now...

There are tens of millions of us who did the same for life...and who don't count ordering subordinates around as work.

I did my turn in that industry, rigging slinger, faller, truck driver.
Not your typical liberal, socialistic crowd...maybe if you live in Los Angeles it seems like Oregon is not diverse but it actually is.

so you want to be taxed more and get free shit?
or
you want to keep more of your hard earned money?

I'm confused here...

No it's called "living the American Dream". I've been to many countries around the world and I don't see any that can have someone completely broke to being rich off their hard work. In a communist society, that work is redistributed and rewards those that don't.

The people that don't mind paying more in tax for these social programs should just donate the money to others instead of harming everyone..... /wish

The promise is he won't be taxed more, but he'll get free shit.

Well, he is close to right. I left Oregon in 75, I think. A very conservative State then, a terrific conservative governor in Tom McCall and both houses of the legislator. When I returned, this state
was not recognizable and going south.

No, my father (60) and brother (36) died early. Thanks for making a joke about that. I was fortunate enough to find ways to channel my stress through meditation and psychedelics.

I could say the same thing about states in this country...there are communities where the poor will always remain the poor..you don't have to travel the world to see that.
I have traveled the world too and strangely enough, most of the countries are not communist...Taiwan has millions of rags to riches stories. We're not exclusive in that respect. My neighbors emigrated from India and invested here and are much wealthier now coming from nothing...you are just going to play the us against them role and if that's living the dream...why are you so unhappy?

Once in a blue moon you actually spout something that makes sense....and is irrefutably true. Thank you!

FIFY..sorry about your father and brother

Ironically, those cities vote in democrats that give them promise to be pulled out of their poverty. Instead, they are given welfare and education funds are channeled out of their communities. They've been oppressed and will still be oppressed. It's really sad.

That's not why you are considered lazy.
