Lillard flying to LA to convince LA to resign here

If Dame gets Aldridge to commit, I guarantee Matthews will come immediately after

We can't fit Wes and Rolo and LMA. Only Wes or Rolo. Would LMA be ok with Plumlee, Meyers, Davis, Vonleh, Kaman at center?

Its conceivable we could keep all three if we trade away Hendo and Kaman.

I really like this; first sign through all this that this might actually be a "team". I especially like that he is not just getting on the phone, but actually going down there.

I think this is the difference between the two players. Lillard has embraced being in Portland, not sure LaMarcus has.

I think those players would be fine. We can always use Kaman and a player for Haywood's ungauranteed

Lillard is the kinda guy that can make the best out of any situation. Plus living in Ogden for four years acclimated him to a slower lifestyle.

9 years to me is pretty much embracing Portland

No probably not. So its a good thing that the plan is to trade some of our contracts to IND for Roy Hibbert.

LA is broken inside in some specific, personal way that Dame isn't. LA doesn't trust anyone, and frankly, I don't blame him. The game and the chaos surrounding it sound pretty dog-eat-dog, and if you're not careful you'll get taken for granted.

Yeah I think so too. Would Allen sign off on giving Wes $15m per if it meant LMA comes back? That would be sweet. Make the Kings looks like fools too.

The kings don't need anyone to make them look like fools. They've been in the corner with the dunce cone on their heads for a while now.

LA is more like an average normal person.

Lillard is just very unique with his charism, ability to handle media and fans.

LA's introverted. He's probably sick of Portlanders being so friendly and smiley.

the ups and downs of this are ridiculous. lol

It's certainly like a cliched script for a romantic-comedy, especially with the requisite scene where the male lead flies across the country at the eleventh hour to reveal his true feelings to the female lead. In this case, LaMarcus is the female.

If Lillard manages to convince LA to come back, will the celebration for LaMarcus be bigger or the praise heaped on Dame for returning LA to the fold?

How perfect that Aldridge meets with the Lakers, then meets with Dame right after. Aldridge will say "dang I forgot how cool this cat is"
