Best in what way? In terms of talent, I think Aldridge the most talented player on the team. In terms of confidence, I think Lillard is way ahead of him.
If Darren Williams is DWill.......... can Damian Lillard be DLill?
No way. Too streaky.
You might make an argument for him being the equal of Love. But it's an argument only homers like me would listen to.
Let's wait until he starts playing defense.
Remember: it's much easier to look good as a guard because you've got the ball in your hands. Aldridge has to rely on others to get him the ball. And he can't freelance.
BUT: Lillard is for sure the biggest reason to watch a Blazers' game.
Browsing Twitter, some are calling him "the black Steve Nash."

That's absurd.... Nash doesn't even try to play defense.

Lillard is the first blazer to score 20 or more in his first three games since Geoff Petrie.
So, "chump" in other words?
How about we wait until Lillard makes and All-Star team or an All-NBA team before we start anointing him the franchise player?
I'm not sure what the deal is with a few posters here, but it's like they have LMA Tourette's.
It's LMA's team ... period.
I'm glad we didn't give a big contract to Jeremy Lin! I wonder of Houston is having buyers regret on him yet, he's looked pretty average. Lillard is going to be the leader of our team, like Brandon Roy was.
To be fair, neither does Lillard![]()
I think he does. I just don't think he knows how to defend a guy like Westbrook.
Eh, to me it's still Aldridge, since Lillard needs to keep on proving himself. Im sure he can and in time, I think it well get to the point where Lillard is our best player and having Aldridge as a second banana isn't a bad thing.
I didn't mean to say he was unwilling, just that I don't think he knows how to play effective defense ... yet.
No shame in that.
