C'mon @HCP, wouldn't it be hilarious to see him say stuff like this on live TV?
Not at all. It would make our fanbase look like a bunch of unrealistic nut jobs. I would want somebody grounded with a realistic view of things repping us. Didn't watch the other guys videos, but they can't be worse than this kid!

He sounded fine, get off his nuts.

See it's statements like that where people lose faith in you. Your whole comment was just fine until that last little jab about the best team in the league being overrated. That team has played well and they were better all over the court when they played here.
Were they? They won by 4 points on a couple stepback threes by Harden. They deserved the win, but better all over the court? Aminu/Harkless/Nurkic DESTROYED Tucker/Ariza/Capela. This is truth.

Nah. They came in and beat the Blazers on the Moda court and the game was really never out of control for them. Blazers played with heart but the best team won that game.

Well good thing our fanbase is the only demographic that watches the show. And since when do you care so much about what our fanbase looks like? Weird.

It was a back and forth game with Portland’s two best scorers MIA. Get outta here with that “heart” crap.

That begs the question...why do people feel the need to have a forum shtick? Are they that unhappy with their true selves that they overlook how disliked said personas are?
For fun? Because they don't care what others think? That's a question for HCP.

You don't think there was a reason the two best scorers were MIA? C'mon now. You are better than this. He is saying the Blazers Frontline demolished theirs. Yeah... Hello? It's because they were shutting down CJ and Lillard and letting Nurk and Co get theirs. If Aminu shoots at all like he has the last week that game is a 20 point loss.
Anyway. No point in rehashing a loss. The original statement was about the Blazers being better than the Rockets. I personally feel that is a wild boast. His statements over and over again are the Rockets are overrated and the Blazers are better. This is on line with His "They can't guard us" statement about the Warriors. Do you really feel that? Or are you jumping in this conversation just to try to have something to argue about? If you really feel that then so be it.

If the Blazers can’t beat Memphis without Dame, who in here thinks they can beat a healthy Rockets? Let’s be real, we are 48-31 before Saturday game against the Spurs. That game is for the 3rd seed.

It may not even matter by that time as Spurs are playing a back to back tonight on the road.

The game wasn't out of control for either team, but I think you aren't giving the Blazers enough credit. Blazers had a lead at the end of 1, tied at halftime and had a one point lead after 3. It was also a 2 point game when the bogus call on Chief on the rebound with Paul. If that was correctly called it's a 2 point deficit with Chief going to the foul line for 2. As for CJ and Lillard, sure you give some credit to the Rockets defense, but both had plenty of good looks that they normally make many of them. That night it just didn't happen

That could be. I just felt watching the game that Houston never really seemed out of control. I also watched Dame try to cover Harden over and over again while it never seemed like Harden ever got left on Dame or CJ for that matter. Yes the Blazers were in the game but the Houston defense totally smothered both out elite scorers and the Blazers didn't have the players to cover all of theirs. Harden scored at will and as usual came up with monster numbers.

and despite all that, it took a bad call to secure the Rockets victory.

If you are looking for a better call to get a win you haven't won anything at all.
Blaming refs seems weak.

I'm not looking for anything as I was just making an observation. If you disagree that the call was incorrect, that's fine as that was never my point. That game was an anybody's type game and that Houston didn't have control the whole game. I bet the players from Houston would admit as much.

Interesting observation, but Dame wasn't on Harden most of that game. Stotts had ET on him most of the time. Sure, there were some switches where Dame ended up on Harden, but Dame's defense was hardly the reason that Harden had a huge game. Harden and CP3 both were on fire that night. Dame and CJ were cold from the perimeter. Some of that was the Rockets' defense, but they both missed a lot of open looks that they normally hit.

There is some cause & effect going on there.

Houston was intentionally forcing a switch so that a weaker (or smaller) defender was guarding Harden. A small thing like that can have huge impacts as it makes it easier for the offensive guy to score & 'catch fire'.

Teams do that every night. Some Blazers fans seem to want to make it about Dame's defense, as if Harden doesn't have huge games all the time, no matter who's guarding him.

Honestly it's way out of the focus of the main conversation. The original was about the Blazers being better than the Rockets. That ain't the case this year. Can they beat them? I'm sure at any time on any given night the Blazers can get a win against that team. Unfortunately in a series i would give the edge to Houston this year. But lets keep some positive mention and hope alive. The Blazer vs Houston series that i feel will eventually happen will be very entertaining indeed.
