Lillard vs Irving

He's come closer than the Blazers have. And it ain't even close.

Well close isn't good enough for a statement like that. You are either a champion or "runner up". LJ is a champion and Durant is the runner up. It may change, but until then my statement is true.

So I will say it again. Durant is not a champion and hasn't been crowned winning a championship; therefor the statement I replied to is not true.

You're right - it's not true.

But I'd rather be there than where we are.

I noticed that Lillard made Shaq's Top 10 dunks of the week on nba.com.

His throwdown on Nene was #8.

WELL yeah man! I Would too... OKC is definitely a contender and arguably the front runner to come out of the West. That has a shit ton to do with Durant. Clippers are doing really well and a lot of that has to do with CP3. Miami is arguably the clear favorite to come out of the East and a lot of that has to do with LJ.

Hopefully there will be a moment soon where the Blazers are favored to win the west and "hopefully" that's because Lillard carried the team to that notoriety.

Something to keep in mind, Lillard is 2 years older than Irving, so if anyone will improve more it's likely Irving

could improve, not will improve.

Irving's big question is durability. Will he be healthy enough long-term?

It's a big question for all athletes. But it's a bigger concern for a guy like Irving, who's struggled to stay healthy.

Yeah, that what I was thinking. Irving missed most of his season at Duke, missed 15 out of 66 games his rookie year, and has missed 11 of 43 games this season.

Will he hold up? Probably, but with any player, it is a concern when they miss a substantial amount of games this early in their career.

I hate that durability becomes a factor with a young talent like Irving.... because it's the same damn thing that we had to watch with Roy and Oden.

Irving by a significant margin. He's been the best PG in the NBA this year. Pretty easily IMO.
