I 100% understand where you are coming from but the Blazers do EXACTLY the same thing. IMO - with out having Canzano in the market, it would be hard to sift out whats correct and incorrect OR getting the other side of the story.

I have zero problems with Canzano writing about a Bill Johnson and his medical condition, or writing about a soldier who died in Afghanistan, or about his experience of coaching a 4th grade womens vollyball team who had a player with Downs syndrome, or a following a young girl who eventually died from a long term illness.

I like his perspective on life and as both a sports fan and a nurse, I think more people need to be exposed to those types of stories.

Most people don't remember Steve Duin who was a troll back well before the internet was ever invented and the city was so upset that that they (The Oregonian) moved him over to the Metro or life section of the paper. He was a troll.

When you are a Season Ticket Holder (STH) you have an account manager and periodically they send you email and other communications where they only give you positive bullet points. Of those bullet points, maybe 25% were actually true or obtainable and they were called out by some members of the media as being untruthful or more wishful thinking.
