Funny thing happened while in the coaches office talking business. While they stepped out, Boise State texted my daughter telling her how much they want her to come be a part of their program…..
what could have been a very awkward situation turned hilarious! She told the coaches when they walked back in what had just happened. Pilot coach knows that coach very well…. She took a selfie with my daughter, sent it to the BSU coach and told him to leave her recruits alone!!! HA! You should have seen my daughters face!

Proud parents! Great program at UP. I was hoping my grandson considers UP, he is going to Gonzaga next year, he did say he may look at UP too but his Dad is a Bulldog and they live in Seattle so anything in Oregon in my son in laws mind is?

Epic lol! Poor coach has no idea her dad would never let her live in Idaho!
 
What happened to UofP women's soccer? Was looking at their records recently and they have been average to bad the past handful of seasons.

Ya, they slipped for a few years. This new coach they have now came aboard in 2019 I believe. Ex player and national team member. Coach French.
 
So Wyoming, Western Washington, Boise State, Idaho and Houston are all ready to give my daughter an offer THIS week.

My daughter is set to zoom with all and hear their offers.

But it really is now down to 2 ……the Pilots and the Zags. UofP has a slight edge. Getting interesting.

My friend has two daughters that play basketball for Boise State. They seem to like it a lot.
 
So she just got off of a ZOOM with Western Washington coach. He wants her BAD. Said she would come in and play immediately as a freshman and they would build their attack around her. Smaller D2 school, great location.

UofP today said she wouldn’t start as a freshman most likely, but would come in and make an impact. That’s the difference between D1 and D2. A lot of freshman don’t play at all their freshman season.

U of P and then the Thorns would be a great route and Gonzaga the Thorns would also be a pretty damned good route.
 
Looks like Colorado College and Seattle U were there to watch her. Yesterday's game was ugly. Her team got thumped and she was invisible out there. Hope they stayed to watch todays game as well. I tell ya what, this whole recruiting thing is stressful as fuck!!!!

Relax dude. Are Colorado College and Seattle U even places she is interested in? Sit back, give advice when asked but otherwise chill. If you're stressed it will make her stressed out. Don't turn a game she obviously loves into something else.

Nah, the wife and I always stay chill. Never talk about all this with her. I save my stress for THIS place.
 
Big list of schools there to watch her play today down in PHX! Day 1 of her last big National college Showcase!
Schools we know there to see her today, W Washington, Seattle U, LMU, Colorado, Boise State, Pepperdine, U San Diego, Cal Poly, Idaho, UP.
KID DID NOT DISAPPOINT! 2 rockets shots to the back of the net in a 2-0 win.

Here's hoping she gets a free ride. It's really the only way to go. (see: student loans thread.)

As an aside, I'm not really up on professional women's soccer. Is there money and/or realistic opportunities out there?

Thanks man. SHe works so hard. It always cracks me up….by the time the defenders realize she’s a lefty, it’s too late. Reminds me of Kenny Anderson coming down on a fast break with that slick left handed crossover.

Had another nice goal today. a few new schools are showing some interest after seeing her play down in PHX this weekend.

U of San Diego


 
Getting some attention because of her play this weekend. Just had a ZOOM last night with Boise State and Sacramento state. She is a bit more interested in the possible WCC schools like Pepperdine, USF,USD, Pacific and UP though.
Starting to heat up. Alot of pressure on this kid in these calls when they start asking her if she is ready to commit. Should get interesting in the next week.

Yeah that seems to be the "Sales" part of the deal. As long as she always leaves herself with an "Out". "I need to discuss this with my parents..." is always a good way to deal with that.
You have obviously done well raising your children. Much respect.

Western Washington has offered her a FULL RIDE + $3000 living expenses. WW is the number one D2 womens soccer program/school. We are very excited about this for two reasons….it’s her FIRST offer and it’s a FULL RIDE.
Womens soccer is not like mens football and basketball where they hand out full rides. They have 15 scholarships a season to spread out over usually a roster of 28. So we were informed and when I did my research, as a freshman if you get a 1/4 scholarship, you should be excited.
Now this is a D2 school and we’ve been told she is a D1 level player.
So this is a very interesting situation. She has a ZOOM with University of SF and Pepperdine this weekend….. I can absolutely guarantee IF they want my daughter to come play for them, it will NOT be a full ride……..

ALOT of stuff to figure out.

But they're in northern Washington. I wouldn't go to a school that doesn't know where they're located.
