Luke Babbitt and Armon Johnson to the D-League

So does Armon ever dribble with his right hand or is it all still to the left?

Luke had a great game! 35, 11, and 6. Wow!

All that really tells me is that the level of competition/athleticism isn't so hot, Luke had stretches like this last year in the D-league where he put up huge numbers.

I just don't think his made-for-college game translates all that well to the NBA level; he just doesn't have enough NBA athleticism to do the same things against NBA athletes that he's able to do against slower, smaller players.

Today
Armon: 24 min 19 points FG 8-15, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, +/- -4
Babbitt: 33 min 15 points FG 5-14, 3-6 3pt, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, +/- +10

Per Blazers Edge:

Update (1:32 p.m.): The Blazers just announced that Babbitt has been called up for Tuesday night's game. He averaged 21 points and 9 rebounds in three games for the Stampede.

I would imagine he only gets off the bench in the event of a blowout.

Johnson looks like garbage right now. Started out the game 0-10 from the field and has 5 TO's.

Well he played minutes in the 3rd quarter of what ended up being a 3 point game.

Is it time to put Batum in the starting lineup over Camby and see how Babbit does as the backup SF?

I'm a Babbitt believer, but I wouldn't change the starting lineup to accommodate him. Sucks for him that he plays at the Blazers deepest position. I love the lineup of Felton, Wes, Batum, Wallace and LA though.
