Plus others I can't think of.

One of the nice things about this place is the ability to share and talk about things from other sites. That is becoming increasingly more difficult with our old software. Hell, many of these social media sites weren't even around when this software was first written.

Also, this forum will display better on mobile devices.

In 2010, the percentage of people primarily using smartphones to view the internet was extremely low. Globally, mobile devices accounted for only 1.6% of all web browsing, with desktop computers dominating traffic.​

As of 2025, approximately 62% to 64% of global web traffic comes from mobile devices, a figure that continues to rise.

Likes and basic format will remain the same. Also, our years of old posts should also make the journey.

Our number one goal in all of this is to make it easier and more fun to talk about the Blazers and sports.

If Reddit got rid of their old format permanently and forced everyone to use their shitty newer one, I would stop using it.

If this site went to a format that was similar to what OregonLive used to have, I would stop coming here.

There are some forums that have simply god awful formats that are not user friendly or fun. I just don’t use them.

I used to get emails from him (I haven't checked that email account in ages). If he had just stuck to his boat building and what not, he could've been a really cool person. I enjoyed his stories about his boat.

BUt he would spend countless hours on rants.

I should see if I can log back in to that old email...if I can even remember it.
 
Found the email, last one I got was from 2+ years ago. Don't know if I was taken off the list or if something happened to him.

I'm excited about the upgrade. It's much needed. I appreciate that the changes are minimal, but more modern capabilities.

So disregard my answer people. Marazul, if he's still alive, must be in his late 80s now. The person who was Maris I have no idea.

I thought so. When you said email and boat, it teed me off, as I was also on some of those emails.
I had lunch with him on his boat. Odd feller(arent we all?) but he was an ox for his age considering he would captain his boat in the ocean at 70+ years old and live on it for weeks/sometimes months at a time as he worked on it.

Gotta screen grab it at least twice and crop. It shrinks the size of the file down. Always works for me even though it’s a pain!

Only dude on here that has ever really pissed me off. Questioned me as a father because I travel for work. That shit hit me hard!

His ex probably gave him shit for wanting to work on a boat for multiple days and he felt guilty and chose not to do it. Then wanted to vent his past frustrations and direct them at you.

Nailed it on the "always too big to post". I thought it was just me. Seemed like no matter how I cropped or edited, the pictures were always too big. Hopefully that will now be resolved.

This right here. If this could be fixed it would be huge! Im constantly having to email myself an image to resize it. Then have to save it somewhere from my email to then upload as an image here. Only to fond out i dodnt resize small enough!!!! Arrrghhh!! Real world problems that need to be fixed!!!!


On the serious thanks much to the mods for doing all you do and working hard to keep this place running smooth.

if the new format makes navigation more like BlazersEdge that's a bad thing, IMO, especially if threads are cluttered and confusing. Not saying that's what's coming; just that the snapshot of the main page Denny posted made me a little concerned. Of course, I'm old and change is almost always unwelcome

I think I shared above. Just screen grab and crop a few times and it shrinks the file size. I have to every time I share a pic, a bitch, but works.
