I apologize if this has been mentioned already; I haven't checked up on the forum this week. But I was reading an article about Portland's mayor (he's a real scumbag), and this comment at the end of the article in regards to the man who stabbed these people caught my attention:

"He supported Jill Stein and Bernie Sanders and was an atheist that vehemently hated all religions."

And then this quote from his Facebook page:

"Sanders/Stein 2017! Let's stop these pipelines and reign in the Prison/Industrial Complexes!!! We the People have the right(As enshrined in our Constitution)to change any government by any means necessary!!! If Not Today Then Tomorrow" - Jeremy Christian on Facebook

Food for thought. It certainly dishes away the Left's argument that this was an Alt-Right killing.

Not even sure, reading this new report it sounds pretty brutal. The earlier eyewitness report made it seem like someone pushed the psycho first.

There is nothing illegal about holding a baseball bat on a baseball field. If you watch the video he was actually walking with the bat in the outfield of the little league field at Montavilla park.

It is very unfortunate that our social services are to the point that they are over-burdened, under-funded, and grossly understaffed. But even if we had an extra 100,000 social service/counseling personnel in the City Of Portland before this guy went crazy, it is unlikely that it would have mattered much. Unless he is a direct threat to himself or others, there's just not a lot legally that anyone can do (unfortunately, it takes more than a FB post to be considered a threat or danger). And those laws are there for good reason: the protect patient privacy and the public's privacy.

However, it may be time to look into revamping the system. Although he we're going to do that without enormous tax payer dollars and tons of new laws is beyond me.

It seems inappropriate to be asking Trump to speak out about violence when a whacko in Portland finally does kill people after shooting his mouth off about town threatening people for some time now.

It seems like a repeat of the leap to conclude that Trump is responsible just like the media rushed to do when the story broke.
It is similarly strange, the want to string adjectives together to express the anti Trump alt-left agenda at any opportunity.
