I didn't get upset at all.

It's sad and insulting that you've deleted my responses to you about this. I actually went out of my way to compliment you. But more importantly you've made some very serious accusations, ones that I took the time to defend myself from in a very calm and non insulting matter. You've twice deleted my defense of that. So you've made insults and accusations but not allowed me to defend myself. That's dirty pool. I do not do that. I have never done that. If people have a problem or a question with a decision I've made in running this forum I answer them. I don't delete their post. If they've asked why I've edited or deleted an insult I've answered them. I don't delete posts to make myself look good or look right.

Gun nuts is not the same as personally insulting someone. I can not think of a reason to ever personally insult someone in this community. You say I derail threads by editing a personal insult, I say without editing them threads will get derailed even further. Everyone is free to post in this Blazer community their thoughts and opinions without being personally insulted for them.

We have had multiple public discussions about the personal insult in the OT section over the last month. Discussions that you have not taken part in. To suddenly come out against the personal insult rule after one of your posts were edited is suspicious. In the last two days you've made it very clear privately to the owners of this forum and to everyone reading this thread that you think I'm stupid. That's fine. You're smarter than me, you're a better husband, father, human, every measure of a man I bow down to you.

As an equal partner in SportsTwo.com I will continue to not allow personal insults. I will miss some, I will make mistakes, but it will not be out of a bias or a defense of opinion or political position.

I will say it again and again, I respect the hell of you. I respect the forum that you created and that we've together have turned into a community. I have tried to show this with not just words but with action and hard work. I have been your loyal servant.

As the dumbest person in this forum I just don't see why personal insults are needed or wanted, and with you being one of the smartest people here it should be easy for you to make your point or argument without insulting people. One of the first rules of this forum talks about honorable intentions, there is no honor in personally insulting someone.
 
Anyone who has to tell others how smart they are (or how stupid someone else is), tends not to be the case.

Speaking only for myself, I didn't get that particular memo. I find no reason to not uphold the "attack the post, not the poster" rule, even in OT, even in charged threads. My edits removed personal attacks meant as personal attacks and were highlighted (with warnings) showing why and how.

But I can't claim to make rules. Sly/Denny are the Big Dogs here.

It's an excellent rule and one I've tried to adhere to since before S2 even came into existence. It may not be perfect but it's far better than any alternative.

Anyone who thinks you don't follow this rule is sadly mistaken.

This could easily have been addressed to you by MarAzul, myself, or any one of a handful of conservative posters who have been unfairly deleted, banned or otherwise edited out of participation by you with never anyone seeing or being told factually why.
