Much beleaguered, tough time he had here during his five years. But good luck to him in Minny.

Thanks for your hard work.

Great down to earth guy! Will never forget that huge quarter he had against the Stormin' Mormons!

Good guy, hard worker, just not a good enough player considering where he was picked. That's not his fault. He couldn't control where he was drafted.

I wish him success in Minnesota, but since they are in our division, it will only be for 78 games each year.

I hope he finds the shot that seems to be lurking right below the surface. Hopefully he keeps working hard on defense so he can emerge as a starter-level player in the NBA.

I think that's the key. If we hadn't passed on Paul and Williams to draft Webster, he wouldn't have drawn nearly as much criticism over the years.

I liked his hustle in the playoffs...those two blocks on that one posession was dope.

I still think he'll be a combination of a Poor Man's Reggie Miller with a middle-class Bruce Bowen.

Happy trails Martell. I'm glad you improved your D while you were here and maybe somewhere else with a more featured role you'll finally put it all together.

I love Martell....one of my favorite players on the team but the deal we pulled off is great. We got a guy who is statistically better (Gomes) and a guy that has much more potential (Babbit).....I will miss Martell though. Good Luck!

Thanks for the memories Martell... especially one of them.

Good for him. I'm glad he'll get a chance to shine somewhere else. I dont think he's really reached his full potential yet, due to his limited role in Portland. Minnesota will give him the shot he wants to prove himself. Best wishes Martell!

At only 23 he still has a chance to be a pretty good player. I think his time was done here, though. Marty probably felt the same way with Batum taking over.

Everyone wins.

I have loved Martell since we drafted him. He was once my favorite player. He seems like a great guy and I'll be rooting for him in Minnesota.

I was this board's resident 'TELL defender. good luck in Minny!

I heard some things about Martell, from a very reliable source, that make me believe he was not a very high quality human being. I'm glad he's gone.

Thank you, Marty, for working hard and staying upbeat even when the team was terrible. Thanks to your great-aunt for helping you overcome childhood tragedy, and to you for not becoming bitter. Thank you for some clutch shots and shot blocking. For working hard to come back from serious injury.

Best to you, except when playing the Blazers.

I'm sorry to see Martell go. I think he has a chance to be an excellent player in the league. All he needs is consistency in his shooting. Good Luck Martell!

My son still has the Martell jersey I bought him... only Blazer jersey I have purchashed recently. He was a class act and I wish him the best in Minny. I will definitely always cheer him when he visits the RG.
