I really feel nervous about this team. I dont like the way it is going, and i really dont know. I mean i just dont know.

Swat is nice, the rookies have showen nothing and Rod does not like Boone. So agian I just dont know.

I think Kristic is gone
I think VC will be back
I think Boone will be traded (
)
I think this team sucks

??
why do you think Boone will be traded?
and how are you judging a team that hasn't even been through training camp yet, and without it's finalized roster?

Nets dont think high of him. I am just very uneasy with this team. Who knows maybe I am wrong and something good happens, but i just think this way.

I want to see a Good team with Harris, YI, Swat, and Boone plus the rookies however i dont think it will happen.

There's a part of me that hopes this team sucks, being middle of the pack mediocre does us no favors at this point in the rebuilding process. It's overachieve or bust.

well, look at it like this, 4 of our 5 starters, with what we have now anyway, would be Devin, VC, Sean, and Boone. that's 4 out of 5 people that played with each other last season- that already have SOME sort of chemistry going into camp. so that's a start.

If they are all back here, which agian I dont know if it will happen.

Sorry guys but i am kind of in a depression right now.

I can tell.
I'm in the middle myself, as we all should be. We don't know anything yet, and we won't know until more moves are made, training camp is complete, and the season starts. Which is exciting. It's a bit nerve racking, I know what you mean. We're not really MEANT to be good this season, but that's where either optimisim or the element of surprise comes in. But either way, I'm excited, albeit nervous, I guess that's the right word.

Boone's not going anywhere, he's still on his rookie contract, no need or reason to move him.

In every forum there's a guy that think his own team can't make it. Last year in the Giants forums when they made drastic changes and went young everybody threw out the season. You can't judge a team till atleast a half of a season. Personally, I've seen CDR play and Brook play and they are beasts at their positions. CDR a classic slasher and brook a finesse center. Dunno much bout Anderson. Also Yi was the 6th overall pick last year. Harris is a good shooter and fast. VC just needs to step up. We have a good young team. Just wait till mid-season and see.

I guess we will see wont we? I think it would be kind of dumb but who the hell knows any more with this team right now?

I really liked what you said. It's best not to hold an extreme view of the team, until we get more tangible data.

However, it is very fun to speculate

On what are you basing your belief that the Nets aren't high on Boone? He was our best bigman last year.

Dave D'Alessandro wrote a blog at season's end saying Thorn doesnt think that much of him. I think he may very well be traded.

Wow that's almost shocking to me! The same Boone who had a 20/10 game against the Pistons last year? The most consistent big on our team?

I don't know what more you could ask out of the kid in his second year (after being injured to start his first). I surely don't know why he isn't the ideal rotation big in Thorn's eyes. Oh god, visions of Ratner picking Boki over House!

In the blink of an eye, the Nets FO looks horrible again.

If they trade Krstic and Boone, they better get something worthwhile back. They can't bank on Yi and Lopez holding down the frontcourt.

yeah, I think I've heard that from other people too (Al or Chad?).

I don't think (I certainly hope) that they'll at least keep him until the middle of the season. With Diop and Krstic seemingly gone, the question marks around Yi, who knows how consistent SWat will be, and the rookie Brook, Boone is the only big we have that we can really count on for something. I could see him moved later on, though, if the others are having good years, considering that Thorn doesn't seem to think highly of him, and he may have the lowest ceiling. He should be penciled in as a starter now, though, and I think he should be kept around, he could at least be a consistent big off the bench. He'd probably be offered the MLE at least when he's a free agent. although I wonder what we could get back for him.

Boone was our best rebounder last season, he's thick and can play center. Whats not to like? At worst, he can backup at C and PF. He listens to L Frank, works well with Harris and Carter, really good at pick and roll with them. I even like him a little better than David Lee, who in my opinion is a pretty similar player.

well i think boone has really come into his own... im happy for boone... if he can only work on his freakin free throws!

If Rod really thinks low of Boone after his play last season I think Rod is one dofus who may know nothing.

If Rod wants to have a group of bigs that we know nothing about yet, then fine with me but i will take my money that i spend on tickets, mercendise, and other nets things with me.

I really dont buy that though. How can one not see something in a kid that is a pure double double?

I mean hell if Perkins can start and win a ring, why cant Boone do the same?

I'd like to find out how Frank thinks of Boone. That's probably what really matters - well, until he gets fired. If Rod's behind Frank as much as he says he is, I just couldn't see Boone getting traded...it just seems Frank likes him way too much.

LMAO

Because the other 14 or so players on the Celtics are not the same 14 or so players on the Nets.

Man, i so wished Boone would of been in Boston. He could of been starting for a NBA Champion and have a ring while the nets have none.

I really don't see the Nets trading Boone he's maybe the only untouchable big on the Nets.

I dont think Chicago is much better. By being traded it means it was a failure.
