He gets too obsessed with the guys he drafts.
I read variations of this general complaint about Olshey frequently on this site. I don't see it. I think he's a shyster who would trade his own mother. But then again, I have no way to really know what's going on in his head.

Do you just randomly insert "social justice warrior" any time you rant about things you don't like or something?
No it's a comparison to the social justice warrior bandwagon that occurs. There is a very small issue, People jump on it like it's a big deal. It's not

I'll agree with that. The guy is a classic salesman/con man. Not as unhappy with his job performance as many here, but not a fan of this narcissistic personality type.

OH REALLY.

You're so old I'm surprised you know how to use a computer!

I am so old I remember when your Beavers had a great basketball team. :cool2:
Actually Ray Blume, Mark Radford and Jeff Stout (and Danny Ainge) all graduated from HS the same year as me....The year the Blazers won it all!

I wonder which GM in the league is most likely to call a player into his office to "Have a talk", only to tell them that he likes the way they are progressing and looks forward to having them here long term.

Probably Vlade or Mikhail

So what was our offer that would beat Hield/draft pick?
Not to mention, the last offer that Olshey probably heard about was two first round picks plus Hield. Sounds like Vlade panicked and didn't try to get back to anyone after NO dropped their offer.

Not too bad a day really; nobody got Butler and I read that Ainge was too cheap to give up his 2017 Brooklyn pick. Depending on how the rest of the season goes, we could be right in there with a chance for Butler.

Here is the thing. Most people on the forum are older. Okay cool. A lot of cool people here but also a lot of shitty ones who make dad jokes and wanna try and rain on your parade because you are younger. Just how it goes. Then the long time members will all gang up on an opinion they think is wrong and it becomes very social justice warrior like, just hopping on the bandwagon making a big deal of everything. It's just whatever. I saw how shitty you were treated last night and the mods don't give a shit. I have been through the same thing. Sometimes I never wanted to even come back to this forum after shit like that but I do because there are still a lot of cool people on here and I love the blazers so, is what it is I guess

The hell is wrong with dad jokes? Im not even a dad and dad jokes are fucking awesome.

I feel better now

It would be awesome if we could get Butler this summer. I will be holding my breath. ;)

Not really sure why people think the Turner signing was a big flop. Entitled to your opinion but... Once he settled in he was arguable the best all-around player on the roster. He was also huge in Boston, who knows what would have happened if Neil didn't give him that $.
Just because you're not a good 3 point shooter doesn't mean you don't have a + affect on the game.

I wonder if the reason Ainge has been so cheap in his offers for Butler is because he really wants Gordon Hayward; he can get him for free and keep that very high draft pick. That seems to me how Ainge thinks. It would cost Hayward only $6 million on the first four years of his contract (if he signed with Boston) and he could play for his college coach, Brad Stevens.

You are not the only one thinking this. We might have a good chance at Butler this off season if we want.

I am full on thinking this is EXACTLY what Ainge would prefer.
