I don't think that's going to happen ... whatever happens to KP, I see this as more of a tempest in a teapot than anything.

If he gets the axe I half-way expect Mark Warkentien to come here (there have been rumors) and if he doesn't get the axe then he'll proceed with his job; it's not like the players are on the block because there's a spat between management and ownership.

Dwight Jaynes brings up a great point. It's not just Vulcan. It's KP's agent. It's other teams in the NBA that have bound together to bring KP down.

No, this is a much deeper problem than PA not liking Penn. Clearly the business side of the organization do not like Pritchard. I think the rift started during the B-Roy negotiations and has only gotten worse. Canzano was right, the Penn firing was a shot across the bow. KP is gone. I can't fucking believe this.

Good synopsis. But why was Penn fired in the first place? Not liking him isn't not a defensible reason.

Yes it is. When you own a company and someone rubs you the wrong way.......you are gone.

Basically sounds like KP just told Crapzano and the rest of the idiots that they are wrong/clueless about the Penn situation.

KP got wrapped up in this mess because of his agent and Canzano. Rumors fly. KP comes out says rumors are wrong, I'm happy to be here, Tom was a good friend who was fired for philisophical differences, these things happen, don'tknow if I'll be here next year, let's focus on the team.

I think he said all the right things to save his job . . . but maybe I heard something different . . . only heard it on the radio.

Why? I mean that seriously, what did I miss. I didn't catch Miller's interview, something he said indicates KP is gone.

All I heard from the interview is a GM who has been humbled. He didn't like the Penn move. He pouted. Then he came to his senses and gave an interview he had to give to save his job.

So what did I miss?

Penn and Pritchard were so close that they even shared an agent. If Pritchard was so upset about being dragged into this out of the blue (which I find preposterous, anyhow), then he should have already fired LaGarie. That didn't happen. Somebody in the organization wants Pritchard out, and firing Penn could have been done to make Pritchard resign instead of having to pay him for next season.

What a fucking mess.

Why? He wasn't "dragged" into anything, obviously. This rift didn't just happen out of the blue, and the fact that the Blazers tried to smear Penn by saying he lied about a Minnesota offer, and then never acknowledging that they were not telling the truth, confirms it in my mind.

A power play is going on right now in this organization. Paul Allen needs to step up and tell those assholes in Seattle to go play golf or something.

So the Blazers try to play hardball with Roy's extension and Pritchard tries to help the guy out??? Sounds like a stand up move by KP. You don't fuck with your franchise player. How many businesses do you know where you're paid more than your boss? There is no fucking reason in hell that Mcmoron should be getting paid more than KP. I'd be pissed too. Unless there are some other huge details that haven't been said, I think he's getting the shaft with no lube.
