I've heard from good sources that Crawford was a cancer in the locker room while he was here.

Just off the top, ROLO. Probably NBA 6th man of the year before and after being a Blazer, J. Crawford.
Edit: To be fair, I believe Crawford left about the same time Neil was hired as GM. Not sure Crawford's leaving is on him.
ROLO was/is a good player, but I believe the consensus was that we were starting over and going young and to resign the vets did not make sense. So no Neil did not want to resign ROLO and I don't remember any of us disagreeing with it at the time.
aren't the Mike's still getting paid even though they've lost their jobs? I'd think if they took another gig now they'd give up their contract paychecks unless they've been bought out?Schonz seems to do fine.
Rolo mailed it in for a couple months after coming back from injury...didn't help us in the playoffs much at all....now Chicago is saying the roster is mailing it in...no coincidence?Maybe everyone was in shock that LMA left, and ROLO was a sidebar topic that got ignored. I never wanted ROLO to leave, and would love to have him on the roster right now.
Raymond Felton was too fat to play the point much....Kaleb started coaching..Luke Babbitt was the go to guy....not quite what Jamal signed on for...he was real close to McMillan from their Seattle roots.....just a horrible year of snowballing injuries and shake up.....I never had a problem with him.Something was not right when Crawford
This is the beginning of the end. Thought we were over this Steve Patterson/John Nash bullshit.I mentioned this a week or so ago and Ropp isn't the only one that has mentioned this....just the only one to do it this publicly. I completely believe that when Olshey's time here is up, you will hear a number of people with a suddenly different view then they are 'allowed' to give out now. Right not, the Blazers want a certain narrative and put vast pressure on those who don't fall in line.
Neil also is one who holds a grudge I've been told and never lets anything go.
Sounds like a soap opera....
More media saying NO is a bully
Ya he sounds drunk. Shut it off after the story about NO calling out the guy's credentials. This is the most incoherent podcast I have every heard. 10 minutes of torture and shut it down. The one dude is so high on "cookies" his mind is missing, probably forever.
CSNNW hired Quick away from the Oregonian, didn't they? And why would CSNNW hire Quick after the oregonian let him go?
LMAO! Humm, do you work for the Blazers??? Just wondering....

Obviously, I'm not the only one that likes their show, AND, I have NEVER tried to "push" my ideas on someone else. I watched the show today, and commented on what I saw/heard. I have liked Isaac for a LONG time. You have your opinion, and even if it is different from mine, I can respect that. Don't try to make it sound like I have some agenda against the team.....
Comcast just got the Blazers to re-up on a big deal with them...you're either naive or have never worked in business if you didn't expect the Blazers to demand more control over the product as part of the reason they returned.
The Blazers, like every other NBA team, are a business and frankly can choose to run it however they wish. I don't know if they have improved recently, but you don't have to look further than the 10's of articles written about OKC during the Durant days to see that the lid they keep on their players and the media's access to the them to see something worse than NO trying to control some of the narrative out there.
We all know what it's like in this small market, the narrative and perception of the team is WAYYYYYYY more important to the Blazers than to a team like say the Lakers or the Spurs. To be honest, the media has brought this on themselves. For years Quick and the Bald-Faced Fuck ran amok digging up every small story they could to get clicks/reads rather than writing quality content. I like Ropp and Suke, but I think the Blazers are 100% within their right to want to control the narrative in this environment.
He (Ropp) expressed empathy for fellow media personnel, naming CSNNW’s Jason Quick specifically, saying he [Quick] was forced to “do a dance” with Olshey “watching everything he does or tweets or says”. Quick responded to a comment on Ropp’s Twitter thread, seeming to acknowledge the predicament.
I don't think that's true. I hear MB's voice on commercials all the time. Bi-Mart, a pizza place (Belagios??), etc.
Lollll is Quick next on the chopping block?
Not that I love Quick, but please dear god, why NOT Dwight Jaynes. What incriminating dirt does he have on Neil Olshey and/or Paul Allen that keeps him employed?
BNM
They probably know no one takes the old man seriously.
Why did Quick take the Comcast job anyway? He hated covering the Blazers before he started to cover the Ducks, then loved covering the Ducks, and then became miserable again when he went back to covering the Blazers for the Oregonian. Why did he decide to keep on covering them by joining Comcast?
It's sad that we are stuck with d-bags like Crapzano, Quick, and Jaynes here in Portland.
Possibly his only alternative? Not sure, but at least it's a steady paycheck.
