The team has done nothing but improve under KP's watch. From bringing in character guys that brought the fans back, increase in winning %, having cap flexibility in the free agent market, and possibly put the franchise in a position to make a profit for the first time in many years.

This franchise is a business intended to make a profit but we've been very fortunate to have an owner willing to spend money for the right players even if he loses money. Trading RLEC for a vet who isn't the right fit just to save the "salary dollars" for later trades at basically double the contract (with the dollar for dollar luxury tax match) doesn't make sense from a financial standpoint at all. And given that none of us are insiders we don't know which, if any, of the rumors were actually true, offered, or even discussed.

The team has done nothing but improve while KP has been the GM. He's never messed up the draft. He got a franchise player in Roy (and most people thought he reached his ceiling his senior year of college). Drafted LMA, GO, Rudy (got him for peanuts and you know the Suns are kicking themselves right not), Batum (had you ever heard of Nic before that?).

The draft hasn't started yet and we have many weeks of free agency to explore before the season starts. I think there are about 29 other teams that would trample over each other to hire him if he was available. How about we wait and see what happens before we decide he's "choked again".

Spudsie, everything you say is true, but it's like arguing with the wall. A person who has decided on the answer and does not care about the question. You know, the kind who says they never read the book but know it's bad, never saw the movie but know it's porn, never read Darwin but know evolution is a crock. You will get a far more rational answer talking to your cat. (how are the kitties, BTW?)

Fact-challenged is the term I want, I think.

That's so funny. I work with a lady who wouldn't allow her son to read the Harry Potter series because it was clearly evil (wizards and witches and giants, oh my!) and she forwarded an e-mail all over the company about this vast media conspiracy to take all good Christian TV shows off the air. She felt we all needed to sign a petition to save "Touched by an Angel".

My thoughts: Okay, #1... her kid is volunteering to read a book outside of school instead of sitting on his butt playing video games, watching TV, and smoking dope. I'm assuming (admittedly I could be wrong) that the chance of him turning into an evil wizard/witch/giant is about as likely as him turning into Jesus or God if he reads the bible. #2 if "Touched by an Angel" is getting enough advertising dollars to make a profit the network will ride it for every cent they can get. :crazy:

Pritchard has built this team into a championship contender in less than 4 years. How anyone on this board can call him a "choker" is beyond me.

Move up 2 picks for that Spanish dude who will probably never play here.

2 more rookies for Nate on top of that.

Letting Dejuan Blair go to the Spurs. How many fucking times does this have to happen where a power forward slides and ends up with the Spurs? Scola, Splitter, and now Blair. Doesn't anybody ever fucking learn from history? Even a 2nd round pick with his problem he is not a risk. 2nd round picks are a crapshoot at best, you might as well picka guy with the possiblity of talent even if his knees might go bad.

Every other team in contention improved. The only one who didn't make a move was the Lakers, and they will be back with championship swagger next year, so they probably don't need it.

What a total fucking nightmare.

You don't know that he would have been available at 33. Perhaps the brass found out that someone would have picked him before 31. Or maybe they just didn't think anyone available at 22 was worth giving a guaranteed contract so they decided to go with a foreigner they've liked for multiple years anyway.

I'm not quite as upset as you are, but I was really surprised they took Cunningham over Blair when he was still available at 33. I'm not one of these "everything KP touches turns to gold" kinds of guys, but I keep thinking this is just the first part of a larger trade we haven't heard about.

Then again, no one bats 1000, maybe KP was due for a big fuck up, time will tell.

I'd hate to see how reactionary some of you are in other aspects of your life.
