Did he say anything that was disrespectful to Luke? If not, I don't see how a suspension could be warranted. MIXUM will use anything to rile people up here. That's been obvious for as long as he has posted. Maybe I would feel differently if I actually saw the posts, but I can only go by what people have described here.

I guess I don't find those posts suspension-worthy. It's not my board, though, and I had other things to do during the game than get wrapped up in MIXUM's web.

Seems pretty weak to me, though.

Thanks for that Nate. I've changed my mind. I think a 1 week suspension is warranted. Those posts bothered me a bit more than I thought they would.

Well said, I agree that while MIXUM's "tactics" do stimulate discussion. Most of it is negative, and the majority of it is about MIXUM in general then about basketball (I'm guilty of doing this as well).

I've said it a few times before, but I really feel he brings down other posters, and actively tries to ruin the forum experience for the community.

Also in the interest of full disclosure, the decision to suspend him was mine. We do allow people to be assholes, but we don't allow people to be hurtful, and his posts were just that.

Yeah, some people just disagree with the common opinion like Mediocre Man and BGrantFan, and some just like to stir up the hornet's nest.

MIXUM's had to have several of his posts edited/deleted for personal attacks in the weeks he's been back since the start of training camp and I understand that all that warrants here is warnings, but to go off and use a former players death purely to emphasize a loss is beyond a reasonable standard of decency we can all expect from one another, written rules or not. Having a timeout for a week(and hopefully a probationary period upon his return) from an internet message board isn't exactly waterboarding, and I fully agree that his actions tonight warranted a stiffer than usual response to his shtick.
