I've been on the Odom bandwagon for a while. He's the luxury version of Turkoglu...more productive and can defend well.
The thing is, if Odom comes in, we HAVE to make another move. We can't have Odom, Batum, Outlaw, Webster, Pendegraph, and Cunningham all on the roster.
Honestly...... getting rid of Sergio and Outlaw would be a successful summer in my book.
His personality is relevant as it pertains to how he gets along with his teammates. If they dislike each other than it just won't work. I would roll the dice after I asked Roy and LMA.
I don't know that I would include Martell as part of the active roster, he's almost mythical like Raef Lafrentz at this point, as for Travis, I'd take it as a matter of course that he'd be moved, Batum would probably get his 20+ minutes, and Cunningham and Pendergraph could be kept around for some emergency depth in the front court (Dante as a 3/4, Jeff as a 4/5).
Blake/Bayless/(veteran?)
Roy/Rudy
Odom/Batum/Cunningham
LMA/Odom/(Cunningham/Pendergraph)
Oden/Joel/Pendergraph
That's not a bad 13 man roster if you ask me.
So we sign Odom.... then what?
Like Nik, I don't view Webster as a factor. He's never been a real contributor, missed last year and is only now walking. You assume he's not going to be available and if he ends up healthy enough to play, you stick him at the end of the bench. I don't worry about his minutes, basically.
PG: Blake / Bayless
SG: Roy / Fernandez
SF: Odom / Batum / Cunningham
PF: Aldridge / Outlaw / Pendergraph
C: Oden / Przybilla
Based on current personnel, that's what I'd be looking at. Cunningham and Pendergraph would be there to pick up scraps here and there. Outlaw's best play has come at power forward, might as well give him all his minutes there if we have two good small forwards. I prefer Outlaw to Pendergraph/Cunningham.

But wouldn't you rather swing Odom between the two forward spots to free up some time for Batum? We'd basically be replacing Outlaw, and his role last season, with Odom. And then you'd have Pendegraph to fill in if needed.
I just don't see any room for Outlaw on our roster if we were to sign Odom.
If a good deal for Outlaw is available, great. I wouldn't just dump Outlaw, I think he's a useful player. As much as I love Batum, he's not yet so good that he must get his 30-35 minutes per game. Another season in which he gets ~18 minutes is fine for a 20 year old. Of course, over the next year, Pritchard would have to be active in paring down the roster...optimizing all of this into a honed weapon, rather than a scatter-shot weapon. But for at least one season, there are minutes to go around, I think.
Keep beating that drum...Why? Roy can't even get a 5 year deal, and LMA, as far as I know, hasn't even been offered a contract to this point of the summer.
Perhaps building around Hedo/Millsap/Odom/Pland D is the plan?
I think we need to come up with a plan to design and build houses with artificial yet effective sunlight with fake beaches to entice free agents that enjoy such things. Blazer nation must come together to achieve great accomplishments.

That only leaves Rudy about 12 minutes per game.
You don't want Odom @ SF.
i cant believe he isnt back yet....this offseason has been a disaster in his eyes, im sure.Mixum is gonna have a field day when he comes back
