More random post-combine thoughts:

- Collins at #15 is becoming less of a stretch and I think there is even a chance Justin Jackson falls to #20, but wing scarcity and the interview process might keep that from happening.

What makes you think that?

Zach Collins would be a huge win in this draft.

I don't see Bell being anywhere near the second round by the time the draft comes around.

My dream draft as of this week is Zach Collins,Terrence Ferguson and Jordan Bell. Trading some players to move up to get them would be ideal.

Collins is so much more mature than I was as an 19 year old.

Bell is such a beast. I love how he just throws down the damn rock

I wouldn't argue with that draft one bit. 2 guys with star potential and glue/energy guy in a 6th man role.

Porzingis younger bro

Ever notice how many of these young "the next big name" players are never heard about again?

Look at his competition. Reminds me of Jr high basketball...

Not even going to get into how ugly his stroke is. Must be easy being the biggest player on the floor by over 12 inches.

Any draft scenario which ends up with 2K as a Blazer is fine in my book.

Its probably wishful thinking more than anything but I just think theres has been a few guys that have enough lottery buzz to possibly push him down.

I've seen Isaac drop a bit lately in some mock drafts as well. At one point during the season he was slotted around 3-6 and I've seen him at around 8-10 lately. Would love to somehow pull something out our ass to trade up for the Kangz pick.

I think if Isaac fals to 8-10, Kings will take him and not even consider trading down. They will only trade down the no. 10 pick if they don't see a player available that would have star potential. Isaac has.

Markkanen is someone I think we could get through trading both 15 and 20. I don't think he is worth that.

I don't see any way Zach Collins falls to the Blazers unless they move way up. Fortunately, we have 4 bad playoff losses with no wins instead of a higher pick.

Interesting how prospects move around so quickly. Just a week ago, Draft Express had this:

Then at #15, Draft Express currently has SG Terrance Ferguson.

Then at #20, PF's Ivan Robb and Isaiah Hartenstein are projected to be in the picture.

Then at #26, talented but injured PF Harry Giles is the most interesting player near this spot and one who has already been discussed here but bears closer scrutiny.

Now at #15, Ferguson has fallen all the way to the mid 20's and Justin Jackson has also fallen a couple of spots to where Portland picks.

Now at #20, Ivan Rabb has held steady but Justin Patton has fallen several places down to #19.

Now at #26, Jonathon Jeanne has rocketed from a mid-30's projection up to #24. Ferguson has fallen from #15 to #25 and depending on medical reports, Harry Giles is anywhere from mid-teens to late-20's.

Will the combine help settle this down or create even more waves?
It would be nice to know who we are picking going in, but then again I do like the surprise aspect of it.

Moving up for Collins should mean Olshey fired on the spot.

The combine definitely moved some players. Jeanne had a very good showing in the 5-5 competition and even though he got pushed around, has tremendous length and good potential for a guy in the mid-20's.

Swanigan is falling because he can't seem to guard ANYONE. Zach Collins has climbed a couple of spots just on measurements. Same with Donovan Mitchell due to a tremendous wingspan to go with a defensive mindset and there are several more examples.

Definite NO to Bell. Small and skinny undersized PF with the skills of a C.
nonsense......he's pretty far from small and he's got defensive and rebounding instincts that you can't coach....he's stronger and more NBA ready than any Lonzo Ball will ever be...he's a team player and extremely coachable...I watched him in the 5 on 5 combine last night and he dominated on defense...made his freethrows and never, never got knocked out of the box by a center or a power forward. for once, just once, I'd like to see us draft for defense instead of 3 pt shooting

Defensively, Bell would look great next to Nurkic, but how would he fit offensively?

We need some really good 2-way players at the forward spots. Bell is a defensive stud, but how do you see his offensive game developing in the NBA? Will he be a Ben Wallace type who can dominate on one end, but doesn't offer much on the other end? Or, do you see him developing a decent offensive game?

Of course, where he's likely to be picked, just getting a great defending, good rebounding back up power toward would be a good value. Do you think that's what he will be, or does he have the potential to develop into a solid 2-way starter?

You have the strawman argument of "he has no ball skills".
That's not a strawman argument Bones...it's an observation...just like the one's we all have...fact is nobody has a clue what will happen when these kids play in the NBA.....the game is faster, stronger and what you see in college in a Nolan Smith might not stick in the league....first year I've watched a bunch of college games and at some point you just trust your coaching staff and front office to fill the team's needs ....as to us...we just comment

I think he finishes a lot of second chance pts, alley oops and mid range jumpers....he has offensive skills just doesn't look for his shot before he's considered other options...I'm really, really impressed with him...he could become that Buck Williams type guy...he dunks with power

The last time we drafted for defense instead of 3 point shooting, we drafted Biebs :)

New Jersey Buck or Portland? Remember Buck was much more of a scorer in New Jersey (Brook Lopez passed Buck as the all time franchise scoring leader in his last game of the season).

Also, Buck played next to a face up center with a nice midrange face up game who didn't dominate in the low post. I want Nurk dominating in the low post as much as possible. So, I'd prefer him paired with a power forward with some range. Not necessarily 3-point range (although that would be nice), but at least a respectable 17-foot jump shot to make teams think twice about doubling Nurk when he catches the ball on the low block.

I think Vonleh is Nurks partner and that Vonleh has the stroke to shoot with range if we run plays for him....I envision Bell coming off the bench and playing with Ed Davis or Chief ...CJ will take most of the shots when the bench guys are in the game.
