Re: Amare for LMA and RLEC?

I sure as hell hope that doesn't happen

Re: Amare for LMA and RLEC?

Is this a blog? Or a real source?

Oh, and they call Rudy a point guard....uh...what?

It's a blog...

Take it with a grain of salt.

I mean, imagine if Mixum had a blog...

Re: Amare for LMA and RLEC?

I love LMA and realize that LMA's game fits with a dominant center moreso than Amare. But amare is amare. He is a superstar powerforward and everyone on here who denies that needs to take their Blazers beer goggles off. He would bring that attitude to our team that we love in Bayless. The "F you, I'm going to beat the S out of you, get the F out of my way" attitude. Also, having a PF who dominates in the post like Amare might actually make things easier for Oden by taking some pressure off of him.

Re: Amare for LMA and RLEC?

Isn't Stoudemire a UFA in 2010?

Re: Would you trade LaMarcus for Amare

move LA or Amare to SF...

Am I the only one that wonders why people keep suggesting that you can MOVE a player who's been played exclusively at PF and Center for their entire career to the SF position? Granted, NBA players are the world's best athletes, but there is a gap in ability out there. Do you think that LMA or Amare have enough lateral quickness to stop the average SF from making a cut to the basket? Do you think they have enough shooting that they can spread the floor and not get all bunched up underneath. This isn't like football, where you can convert a LB to a DE or a Safety to a LB. This is basketball.

A few years ago Detroit used an effective lineup of R.Wallace/Okur/B.Wallace. But that was because they were playing a zone defense and Rasheed and Okur can light it up from behind the 3-point line. LMA and Amare cannot.

The easiest "transition" is a SG to slide to SF (or reverse) or perhaps PF sliding to C (or reverse, but not as effectively). That's the truth of the matter. There are a lot of players, the "Tweeners" who live without a true position. Guys like Al Harrington, Travis Outlaw, Thaddeus Young, or even Shawn Marion. The thing is that all of those guys can shoot the outside shot and are capable of defending SF's, and a bit undersized (or underweight) against a lot of PF's in the league.

I see this argument time and time again and it gets really annoying. So please stop it.

LB is not a point guard. He is a worse distributor that Bayless.

I want nothing to do with Amare in Portland. What are some of your thoughts on a three way with Bosh to Portland, Amare to Toronto and Aldridge/RLEC to Phoenix as the principals? Is it fair, acceptable and worth the risk considering Bosh has an opt out in 1.5 years? Would he want to be in Portland?

There's no reason to do a favor for the Suns. Amare's ego is simply too big for this team. The minute he's not The Man, he pouts.

If you don't want Amare, I don't know why you'd want Bosh.

J-Rich plays SF, position of need.

What would LB do, back up Rudy as the third string SG?

J-Rich came in a little under 6'5" coming into the League. He is a SG through and through.

If a deal happened, which I don't want, I'd like to get Robin Lopez in the deal.

He's listed at 6-6 now, and I think at 225, he's strong enough to play the 3.

Bosh has been more productive than Amare this year and plays better defense. Also, Bosh doesn't seem to have the attitude problems Stoudemire has.

Amare has an inside game. Bosh is a jump shooter and is soft.

Bosh being a jump shooter isn't a bad thing in portland if Oden develops like we think he will
