I wonder if there are fans in Miami watching our media day, laughing at Hassan's media day comments.

Prolly a good place to put this

Questions about Dame's shot (2:45) and his reaction to Patterson's Thunder comments (7:30) are hilarious.

Saw this. Some of Mo’s faces he makes crack me up!

I'm going to miss Moe so fucking much!

Agreed.

I might be amongst the minority, but dealing Moe will be a minus on our roster. He obviously was inconsistent, and his stats leave something to be desired, but I think his contributions were greater than his stats would have one believe.

It's one of the reasons we got swept against the pelicans the playoffs before last. Moe was still coming back from injury when that series started. He was vital to our success.

Mo Harkless and Turner were both hurt.

Well, it did make mention in the Miami Herald:

https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/nba/miami-heat/article235562122.html

THIS AND THAT

▪ On Heat rookie Tyler Herro’s first practice, coach Erik Spoelstra said Tuesday: “He was out there, in the losing end of the scrimmage, but he was out there. He’s not afraid of this. He’s competitive, and he loves the live stuff. He’s making us watch. That’s what you have to start with. That’s the only thing you can earn right now, make the head coach watch you.”

▪ During a session with reporters at the Trail Blazers’ media day Monday, former Heat center Hassan Whiteside was asked about his transition from Miami to Portland.

“It don’t matter where you live if you’re not happy on the court,” said Whiteside, who was traded to the Trail Blazers this offseason as part of the four-team deal that brought Butler to the Heat. “This is a place I wanted to come. I wanted to come here for years. So when I finally was able to come here, I really didn’t care about nothing else but basketball.”

As far as Whiteside’s fit with the Trail Blazers, he said: “Coming out here and being that I can really get the ball more, be able to facilitate and be a better play maker. Not just catch lobs, stand in the paint, try to rebound. They’re actually letting me make plays. I’m getting the ball at the elbow, at the top of the key, and being able to pass and make decisions. That’s something I always wanted to do.”

I can see how a player would want this. You got to feel like you are contributing and using all your skills. Makes life more enjoyable.

...did anyone else catch that Meyers “feels comfortable” from beyond the 3pt line?

Meyers gonna start shooting dem Lillard bombs.

side note: wish I could see Jimmy butler and Meyers in practice, that’ll be gold

Yeah there will be times on defense where we will Harkless, but there would have been a lot more times we would have missed not having a rim protector until Nurk gets back. Not only did we pick up Whiteside but we picked up his huge ending contract in the event we want to trade him after Nurk gets back. Not sure there was any other choice.
