Oh you poor victim, you. You brought up Leonard's offensive game, then you say that you like defensive centers. People called you out for it. Deal with it.
I didn't bring up Drummond in this thread first, so there's that.
But as far as what Drummond has to do with Leonard? Let's see.
I think people bring up Drummond because of the fact he actually has a skill set you would love to see your young center have.

Tough in the paint
Finishes great around the basket
Meyers Leonard
Bad rebounder.
Atrocious defense.
Soft in the paint.
It's the contrast in styles. One plays like a center. The other plays like a 7-1 SF.

I wish we would've picked John Henson (skinnier than Nerlens Noel)/Tyler Zeller (DRtg 110, almost exact Rebounding %'s)/Fab Melo/Festus Ezeli instead as our "tough, shotblocking and rebounding defensive stud Center" with the #11 pick....then we wouldn't have to have this conversation.

Because Lynyrd was a true center and Henson was not. Now even Lynyrd's defenders are begining to talk about his future in terms of being a stretch 4.
To put it another way, Lynyrd looks more like a center, and that trumped the fact Henson was the better player. Call me a "whiner" all you like - that was a highly questionable decision.

I still like him as a center, and 7'1" players aren't "stretch 4s", anyhow. Claver and Babbit are "stretch 4s", in that you sacrifice size for some outside offense.
Kind of like how the Blazers brought in Robin Lopez?
