Be real man, at no point is Miami going to say "Hey we don't need Dame anymore, we're good enough." They know they need Dame to put them over the top.

Also, young player to the league like Jovic and Jaime are going to need time to adjust to the league. Waiting to see how they look at the beginning isn't telling of how they'll be as players in the long run.
 
17 points in 23 minutes. Miami's asking price going up. Now Shae has to be included for them to deal Jovic to us.

If they see Jaquez and Jovic play likr rookie of the year and MIP, they may not want to trade them for Dame and we would want them for Dame.

I don’t think he’ll ever be confused with Dennis Rodman, but he’ll end up around 6/7 rpg

One dimensional like Rashard Lewis or Peja Stojakovic? I could live with that.

Marc J. Spears on the likelihood of a Dame-to-Miami trade: “I’m feeling some optimism that this will get done before [training] camp”


Regardless of the NBA’s [memo], I think the NBA at large has so much respect for this Top-75 player [Lillard].. that other teams are like “we’re gonna lay off.”

I do know that I’ve heard a couple times that Jayson Tatum tried to talk to him and get into his ear about trying to get him to Boston.. But, from what I hear, Dame is steadfast on South Beach.

It’s starting to feel like it’s going to happen. It will likely include other teams.. I’m feeling some optimism that this will get done before [training] camp

I bet other teams didn't want Anthony Davis or Paul George so they just "laid off" because when you respect a top 10 player you therefore don't try to trade for him. GTFOH Spears!
 
Spears comment about being surprised about the shade thrown at Herro.....was he talking about other teams not being willing to obtain him for an asset.... or why the Blazers don't want him? Clearly, the Blazers, with an abundance of shooting guards, has been explained hundreds of times why there needs to be a 3rd team.

So the rest of the league has so much respect for Dame that they won't trade for him, yet they won't help him obtain his wish by taking Herro for a 1st round pick?

I just watched that 65 movie about crash landing on dinosaur planet. It had gross scenes, look away if trying to eat & watch moments. Kinda dry & boring, his rifle looked like a nerf gun. But it had a part where I was laughing my ass off!

did DD20 tweet it out? Is that still an account? No idea which one ended up being real, if it was, etc. But rumors are fun regardless.
I like that deal. I imagine no picks from Brooklyn, because they're giving 2 decent wings for Herro. So then likely 2 picks from Miami? 27 and 29, or 28 and 30?

No, you don't get to like any deal to Miami.
It's Lillard to the Spurs for 10 FRP's, or he can sit at home and whine about life ain't fair.

Tyler Herro is on the same level as Ant IMO, Jaquez is a prospect along the lines of Kris Murray, Jovic has a low floor and some up side but hasn't found a place with the Heat yet, three future firsts and an expiring contract for Dame and taking on Nurk who would actually be really great playing with or behind Bam especially against bigger lineups.

Dame is as elite of an offensive player as there is in this league. Put him with guys like Bam, Jimmy, Caleb Martin, Love, Richardson and these guys haven't even used their TPMLE yet. That's not a Cinderella playoff story, it's a legit contender. They probably win a ring in the next three seasons and give up far less than the Bucks had to for Jrue.
