Biden going to Israel on Wednesday. Making Israel delay their invasion and give the civilians more time to get out of harm's way.

A hospital in Gaza just took a direct hit. Over 300 were killed. Israel says they didn't do it but I don't think Hamas would.
 
How is there not an international outcry over this? For fucks sake. It was a hospital. This is a modern day ethnic cleansing and state sponsored genocide.

It's a straight-up war crime. This is a bizarre move.
 
In Ukraine Russia bombed churches and schools and hospitals and power plants all filled with civilians. For Israel to bomb a hospital is just as ghastly as Hamas killing kids from a music festival. This is not acceptable. An immediate cease fire needs to be in place in both wars. The hospital death toll I just read in now 500 dead

The military personnel who carried this out will most likely never be able to travel to anywhere in the free world because they will be arrested for war crimes. And the Israeli military travels and trains in the US all the time.

Ukraine is been very careful in not hitting civilian targets for fear of losing US and NATO support and aid. For Israel to do it so blatantly is bizarre and offers no benefit.
 
IDF claims initial checks show a failed missile launch by the Islamic Jihad is the cause of the hospital devastation, not it's own bombing.

There was an expert on CNN saying that Hamas and other forces do not have a missile large enough to do that much damage. The missiles they have been using during this are small so they fly under the iron dome.

I do hope it was a failed launch by the Islamic Jihad.

They are blaming Hamas. I think it's a bit naive to think those responsible will actually be punished.
 
We've been carpet bombing the area, killing hundreds of innocent civilians, but THIS one wasn't us.

Kind of makes sense to change it once you have more information. We sure live in interesting times. It is easy to provide immediate, on the minute descriptions and have people jump to conclusions.

Actually, from the very little we know given what you can from far away, they have not been carpet bombing, which is why the US sends guidance equipment so the bombing can be as targeted as it can be against an organization that uses civilians as shields.

Given the population density in Gaza, if there was carpet bombing there would be a much, much higher number of victims.

Without more information, it is hard for me to judge from a-far which one is telling the truth and which one is not. I will say however that when it comes to propaganda vs fact, I tend to believe the IDF a lot faster than the terrorist groups that murder civilians with no sign of remorse and have habitually used their own people as pawns on the battle field.

FWIW, and it is nothing more than an anecdotal point of interest, I was on a zoom call earlier (well, Microsoft Teams, but same thing) with a software developer in Israel who told us that they might have to stop in the middle as there were sirens going all over for rocket attacks on Tel Aviv.

But you're so ready to believe a terrorist organization's version? I see no benefit to the IDF bombing a hospital and killing 500 people. That would be a massive fuck-up because even their allies would turn against them. A failed missile launch by the Islamic Jihad makes much more sense, as does them trying to blame the IDF for it. Either way I hope the truth comes out. Horrible.

Their allies would turn against them? Who? The U.S.? There's over 2k dead in gaza currently. Definitely not all Hamas terrorists. You have their leadership talking about them like they're animals they clearly could give two shits about. U.S. is just gonna send money and ships and support them like we always do. Them targeting civilians hasn't stopped us from being their fiercest allies yet.

I suggest you google "Israel apologizes for civilian deaths" and follow that with finding out what Hamas did after the terror attack on the music festival. Once you do that, maybe you should probably consult a dictionary what remorse means.

Of course not all are terrorists, but is that because the terrorists use them as human shields or because someone is recklessly trying to hurt them? If you can not understand the difference, there is really not much more to be said here.

At the end of the day ask yourself, who is the one that gains from this fight?

Israel does not want the Gaza strip, they returned it as part of the Oslo accord. The people that broke the Oslo accord are not Israel and Israel has to protect itself against the thousands of rockets that are fired at it from that area. What is the solution other than trying to protect itself and do it as responsibly as possible while the opponent uses their own people as shields.

One side intentionally targets civilians and takes them hostage. One side beheads children. One side tells their citizens to stay because they like to use them as human shields. From what I've seen reported and recorded Israel has tried to tell the civilians to leave... I'm not saying they haven't killed civilians, but if we're talking about blowing up a hospital and 500 people I know what side I'm not believing.
