Militia takes over Malheur National Wildlife Refuge headquarters

I'm not seeing the Cindy Sheehan equivalence. As best I remember, she was a dipshit, so she does have that in common with Denny's Militia, but otherwise, I don't think she was armed, I don't think she appropriated federal property, I don't think she committed suicide by cop, I don't think she cost the taxpayers a lot of money.

The remaining guys are your militia. Mine went home a long time ago.

Thanks for the article Barfo. However, the information in this article does not match what a tribe was reporting late last week. The tribe report made it very clear the militants wanted to protect the artifacts, not sell them. And that the militants had contacted the tribes asking for guidance on the topic. Maybe their request came after and was prompted by this article?

The militia/militants/protesters/criminals/whatever hoped to make a case that the Feds were mistreating the artifacts. The tribe told them to leave and to leave their stuff alone.
That happened pretty early on in the occupation and nothing has changed since then.

Much earlier in this thread, I also posted a link to a story about how the tribe was un-happy concerning the Militants “possible” miss-treatment of their artifacts.

However, since then, new information has come forth, by the tribes and how they are now concerned with the miss-treatment of their artifacts by the government, not by the militants.

Looking at all of the information available is how you find the truth. But you seem to have a good grasp of the topic and your agenda, in a Timothy Leary kind of way. My views only come from looking through the lens at the bottom of a brown bottle.

There were never hundreds of guys there, Denny.

The indictment doesn’t include dozens of people who were also part of the occupation. Many of them have scattered across the U.S., changed phone numbers or gone silent on social media.

"Dozens" is downplaying the number.

This 'new information' seems to be solely a radio program that you admit you might not have completely heard?

Please, if you have more or different information, post it. I will read it.

Barfo,

I won't stand between you and your man crush on the remaining protesters.

Prattle on.

He he. At least this is consistent - the Militia ran away from their cause, so you propose to do the same.

She's talking to you, barfo. I think she's calling you stupid.

I can't tell if you're using green font or not. there is no way anyone can actually make the argument that the left is "home" of Nazis and the Klan and not be quoting the Onion.

Making a point about painting with the broad brush.

It seems to fit SPD's and barfo's logic.

OK.

I did a search trying to find the fresh info I heard on the tribal radio program. I was not successful.

Everything I read has the same information/quotes, probably from the same sources. There are 4,000 relics at the refuge headquarters for study, 7,000 relics in a museum in Eugene. Also mentioned in most of the articles is the militant spokesman saying they are not interested in the relics, which is seldom mentioned by anyone that is trying to crucify them.

I was expecting the tribal radio show to bash the militants, it did not. I was stunned when the Indians talked about the militants trying to work with the tribes to protect the relics.

The real problem I see is, it only takes one bad militant to damage one relic for this to turn into a major problem. The way our agenda driven government is now run, it will not be difficult for them to find some angle to work to throw the book at the militants. The quote I read in many of the articles from one of the government employee’s sounds like a fascist suppressor making charges and threats before having any proof of a wrong doing. At least the tribes sounded fair about their concerns.

I think it's your man crush on these guys. You keep posting about them.

I'll bet those militia nut cases missed the Super Bowl and the Blazers game....that's unpatriotic! FBI....are you listening to this? Something must be done!

Denny, why haven't you gotten your pals here to sign up for S2? Sounds like they would have a lot of interest in this thread.

The FBI seems to be trying to end this before Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore gets there and really complicates things. She is at the airport, and may end up getting these morons killed.
