I've never seen Chris Mathews confront an armed militia before, but interrupting Joe Biden on TV is a bit like comparing Selma civil rights protests to an attempt to break a criminal out of jail off site with guns and stolen vehicles, state park facilities..

So why bring an assault weapon to a civil debate with locals? Wouldn't that intimidate most folks? Especially after you've decided to squat with a militia in their backyard?
 
I'm starting to think Denny is lobbying to represent them...probably got a lifetime of beef as a retainer.:)
 
I think OT here is probably like going to the gym for a lawyer...they can just practice defending all manner of criminal behavior

It's their 2nd amendment right to bear arms. There's nothing intimidating about it.

yeah, an amendment is not the same thing as an asshole with a gun in the park...ever been confronted by an armed criminal? I have, it's not a patriotic fest when you face it in the real world...if you believe in their cause..it's your right. If they were defending something defensible I'd support them.. they're not though. Those old guys in the video you posted voiced their concern about being threatened for a distance of 2 feet...I guess their well being isn't as important as the right to bear arms. They should have showed up with a white flag and unarmed to have a talk with the locals...but no..they needed that show of aggression

Carrying their guns is legitimate and lawful. Anyone who carries a gun is likely to defend themselves against aggression, even by the FBI.

They're at home, the militia asshole needs to be somewhere else. Yeah...the Hell's angels can be intimidating too...just like the fake soldiers of fortune who are littering America's protected lands. I think it's pretty brave of those local folks to even talk to them. They probably own guns too, but didn't feel the need to arm themselves to contest the invasion of these guys in their homeland

Stealing is a crime...unlawful protest with armed occupation is a crime...did they get a permit to protest and gather in a place where they can legally do that? Fuck no....they are commiting crimes
