Correct. As @Harry's Raincoat noted, the only advantage of the buyout is to give the Blazers a bit more room to make a lopsided trade.Isn't our cap space still 13 mil under the minimum? Eventually we have to use it or split it amongst the roster we settle on if I'm not mistaken
Yes but it's trying to make a square into a circle or however you say it. I think a much better option would be to use a Dame/CJ/Frazier rotation at guard for most of the game. I think any combo between them works better than CJ at PG
Or within Fraziers ability level. Why are you arguing the Blazers should keep Frazier in the context of trying to win games? That is not the purpose of this season.
Yes it is, we have a very good roster in terms of talent and depth. If Stotts is finally able to play more flexible rotations which would probably be the case anyway we could be into a very interesting season. Not just Frazier. We have several interesting big men, Harkless should be a pleasent surprise according to the reports and our backcourt even with just Dame and CJ post the Memphis series is going to have some fire-power. I don't think we're contenders but believe we could be good enough for playoff-contention.
Only if they don't develop into useful players AND we aren't able to use any of them in trades. I suspect we'll at least trade a couple of these guys at some point.Meanwhile, all these rookies with promise will need more than one team before making the league. We're the sucker team.
wrong. the argument made related only to his number of games played, which I appropriately pointed out was dumb with my ridiculous example.Frazier - Almost 25 - 11 Career Games
Pressy - 24.5 yr old - 125 Career Games
KAT - Almost 20 - 0 Career Games
Not exactly an Apples to Apples comparison.

wrong. the argument made...I appropriately pointed out was dumb with my ridiculous example. If one is interested in "apples to apples" comparisons, I'm all for it...However, folks on here tend to not want to do that. They'd rather pontificate.
obviously I don't pontificate enough, what a disgrace! You are a disgrace to all college professors. Don't worry. I won't tell them you said that.
