Serious question. I get that LBJ is a freak of nature, but do you honestly think Wade will be in the league in 5 years, much less playing at a "Big Three" level?

I bet we see Wade with a Brandon/TMac type drop off.

Guys, it's blatantly obvious he's a Wolves fan. (MN IP)

But his teams sucks so harshly he's posting as a Heat fan.

Sad and hilarious all at once. Kinda like Farmer Chris!

And now we have Farmer Damien (he even spelled the name wrong)

To make it easy on everyone, every Wolves poster you start with 'Farmer'

Farmer Chris
Farmer Damien
Farmer Duane
Farmer Kahn
Farmer

Re: Minnesota: full of shit?

I'm a musician and I was playing in a band over in California in the 80's. We played in Portland a few times. I've got so much tail I guarantee I've banged some of your moms. Maybe some of you are older and I banged your sister. Who knows. But I guarantee if your mom or sister was around in the 80s I banged the hell out of her.

Think about that.

With a gay hat like the one in your avatar I think the only holes you were pluggin in the 80's were light sockets.

so here we sit on Thursday morning awaiting that fabled Minny offer sheet for Nic - and so far we have nothing, what a crock

We'll see if they come to regret wasting their amnesty on a player with not too much left on his contract.

That is hilarious. The Twolves are amnestying a guy, to save them 7 million on the cap. To have enough money to sign a player on an offer sheet that could just be matched by team that has that players rights?

Thats their big plan? Oooh, you're forcing the Blazers to sign a player...they have the capspace to re-sign and a position they need. Oooh lordy me! Not that!

Are we sure John Nash isn't running the Twolves? This is comically bad.

Kahn is like the guy that is going... I'M GOING TO DO IT, I swear I'm going to do it, don't make me because I will. Sign and trade him or else, or else I'm going to do it.

Great news. Hope that means we're not accepting their shit trade proposals.

I will give you guys some information.

1. Darko was going to get amnestied after last year anyways. He basically quit on the team once Pekovic became the starter. There is nobody else worthy of using the amnesty on otherwise so please do not make yourself look ignorant by making a big deal of it.

2. 95% of Wolves fans actually are not really that concerned if Portland matches (which I think they will) we just want to get some closure so we can move on if need be.

3. If Portland matches so be it, a consolation prize for the Wolves is sticking a divisional opponent with a contract they really do not want. I do not think Batum will mope if he has to go back to Portland for $11 million / year so that should not be an issue.

We all know Batum is not worth $11 million per year, both smart Wolves fans and smart Blazer fans can agree on this point. However, from the Wolves perspective overpaying for Batum was not a big issue because it basically filled the biggest hole left in their roster. If they get Batum, outside of maybe moving Williams, you will see the Wolves sit content with its roster for the next 3 years.... with only small tweeks here and there.

We will see what happens, I think we will get resolution one way or the other pretty quickly... I think both teams are at the end of their wits with the whole ordeal. I think if we see Portland making some more moves today we know they are going to match, they will try to fill out their roster before matching and going over the cap. If things are quiet for the next day or two, it would lead me to believe they are not going to match and want to leave the Wolves on the hook for as long as they can.

Common sense though seems to point to Portland matching, if they do not match they are going to look like huge dummies by not taking the 2 draft picks and salary cap relief that was offered.

"if they do not match they are going to look like huge dummies by not taking the 2 draft picks and salary cap relief that was offered."

Ya know, most of your post was fine until you just had to add that crap at then end (see above). So we perhaps pay 1-2 mil more then he's likely worth, big fukkin deal. We keep a valuable asset and also do not halp a division rival - a good day's work IMO. Why don't you take your asinine comments and go home.

So you really think that pissing away 2 first round draft picks and a $5 million salary cap relief is not silly?

So basically you are saying

2 first round draft picks and salary cap relief < Nothing

That is a very strange stance you have taken.

Portland will either get the package PORTLAND wants from Minnesota, or match the offer Minnesota is eventually able to make once they amnesty and waive people. Batum at 11 million is not a fun thought, but his PER is good, and with a real coach who will utilize him the right way, his on/off court numbers should be better.

11 million for a 3rd option isn't the end of the world

Wow! you are a bitter little fellow aren't you?

Evidently in your blind rage you have missed my point. My point is, I agree, I think the Blazers will match based on the fact they would like huge dummies if they don't match when they could have gotten compensation in a S&T.

Not really. Portland taking salary from Minnesota so they are able to offer Nic the money they told him they would helps Minnesota.

we are sick and tired of you Minny trolls, go home

yes, but doesn't taking 2 first round picks and most likely Ridnour (who was rumored to go to chicago for Korver) from the Wolves hurt them?

A sign and trade would help the Wolves, however, any advantage they would have received would have been offset by the compensation that the Blazers would have gotten.

Basically the Wolves were in a position where they were going to have to overpay for the privilege of overpaying a player. The Blazers could have taken advantage of that (assuming they don't match the offer).

So, who are options 1 and 2? LMA and Lillard?

I guess it depends on if you think a 23 years old SF with the 7th best PER at his position at 11 million per is better than 2 picks around #20 in a fairly weak draft, plus Luke Ridnour?

Who is trolling? I am in here discussing basketball. You are the one acting like a 2 year old.

this had been discussed to death, we know your position and opinions and you know ours - so what's the point? Your inability not to let this go is the real "2 yr old" action, like I said, go home.

Three observations based on a pretty long life:

Guys who say they never jerk off are lying.
Guys who talk about all the sex they get are lying.
Guys who call everyone else "gay" are really nervous about themselves.

Incidentally, no i in crandc and I'm not a dude.

Now ... when do the Blazers lock up Batum?

We are kind of in the same boat. We both have a young promising center and PG, and an all star for a PF. The SF position would be our biggest hole to fill. Bigger than what you have IMO. (You have more depth) So what you are saying about why you would over pay for Nic, holds true for us as well.

Not sure about our SG's or yours at this point. Maybe BROY will be healthy, but that is a big IF. I wish him well. But to me that should have been your focus, not SF.
