Yawn.
Serious question. I get that LBJ is a freak of nature, but do you honestly think Wade will be in the league in 5 years, much less playing at a "Big Three" level?
I'm a musician and I was playing in a band over in California in the 80's. We played in Portland a few times. I've got so much tail I guarantee I've banged some of your moms. Maybe some of you are older and I banged your sister. Who knows. But I guarantee if your mom or sister was around in the 80s I banged the hell out of her.
Think about that.
so here we sit on Thursday morning awaiting that fabled Minny offer sheet for Nic - and so far we have nothing, what a crock
That is hilarious. The Twolves are amnestying a guy, to save them 7 million on the cap. To have enough money to sign a player on an offer sheet that could just be matched by team that has that players rights?
Thats their big plan? Oooh, you're forcing the Blazers to sign a player...they have the capspace to re-sign and a position they need. Oooh lordy me! Not that!
Are we sure John Nash isn't running the Twolves? This is comically bad.
"if they do not match they are going to look like huge dummies by not taking the 2 draft picks and salary cap relief that was offered."
Ya know, most of your post was fine until you just had to add that crap at then end (see above). So we perhaps pay 1-2 mil more then he's likely worth, big fukkin deal. We keep a valuable asset and also do not halp a division rival - a good day's work IMO. Why don't you take your asinine comments and go home.
So you really think that pissing away 2 first round draft picks and a $5 million salary cap relief is not silly?
So basically you are saying
2 first round draft picks and salary cap relief < Nothing
That is a very strange stance you have taken.

we are going to match, go home
Wow! you are a bitter little fellow aren't you?
Evidently in your blind rage you have missed my point. My point is, I agree, I think the Blazers will match based on the fact they would like huge dummies if they don't match when they could have gotten compensation in a S&T.

Not really. Portland taking salary from Minnesota so they are able to offer Nic the money they told him they would helps Minnesota.
Portland will either get the package PORTLAND wants from Minnesota, or match the offer Minnesota is eventually able to make once they amnesty and waive people. Batum at 11 million is not a fun thought, but his PER is good, and with a real coach who will utilize him the right way, his on/off court numbers should be better.
11 million for a 3rd option isn't the end of the world
we are sick and tired of you Minny trolls, go home
yes, but doesn't taking 2 first round picks and most likely Ridnour (who was rumored to go to chicago for Korver) from the Wolves hurt them?
A sign and trade would help the Wolves, however, any advantage they would have received would have been offset by the compensation that the Blazers would have gotten.
Basically the Wolves were in a position where they were going to have to overpay for the privilege of overpaying a player. The Blazers could have taken advantage of that (assuming they don't match the offer).
So, who are options 1 and 2? LMA and Lillard?
Who is trolling? I am in here discussing basketball. You are the one acting like a 2 year old.
I will give you guys some information.
We all know Batum is not worth $11 million per year, both smart Wolves fans and smart Blazer fans can agree on this point. However, from the Wolves perspective overpaying for Batum was not a big issue because it basically filled the biggest hole left in their roster. If they get Batum, outside of maybe moving Williams, you will see the Wolves sit content with its roster for the next 3 years.... with only small tweeks here and there.
