great ballparks - having been to many parks they are almost all great atmospheres (Oakland was in the 90s as I lived there but obviously is no longer).

consistently get solid attendance. this would be even better if/when Oakland is no longer in play.

Don't take it personal, HCP is still stinging after that loss from his favorite team last night and getting bounced out of the playoffs. I do appreciate the FACTS you're bringing, even if it goes against the narrative that some on here like to peddle. The biggest problem though is HCP won't make it past that first chart since he is barely figuring out Affect vs. Effect, next up is There/Their/They're, maybe down the line we can get to Mean vs. Median.

Was just looking over my personal rankings after crossing the new Yankee Stadium off my list a couple weeks ago. You've been to a few of my favorites with my top 5 Wrigley, Fenway, Giants, SafeCo and PNC, with Camden right in the mix as well. My bottom 5 were the Coliseum (As), Comisky, Angels, Minute Maid and Tropicana (Rays). I've 18 current ones crossed off so a little over half way there to seeing them all.

I wish I got to old Yankee. The new is corporate BS, that’s actually from a Yankees fan I met there. wrigley and Fenway are in their own category. Giants is hard to beat….but that is my team. I was super impressed with the tigers stadium though….but it’s downtown Detroit and not on the water.

I was at Yankee Stadium last August. It's terrific imo.

Hard to beat San Francisco. I actually enjoy Seattle too. Fenway just for historical reasons. I went to Dodger stadium last summer again and similar to Fenway, liked for the nostalgia of it. San Diego is great. Colorado was nice too. I went to St Louis a few times, and its nice...the block with the beer garden etc is cool. But outside of that, downtown STL is a dump.

Again, I grew up going to Ricky/McGwire/Canseco games in Oakland. Probably been to a couple hundred games. It was AWESOME. Because the team was great, almost always had great crowds of 30k+, and just loved it every time. I think MLB ballparks are like pizza. Some are worse than others but the worst pizza is good to me. Nit picking apart baseball stadiums seems weird to me. There are no 'dumps'.

Old Yankee was awesome but mainly for the history and nostalgia, I mean who wouldn't be in awe of the grounds that Babe, Mickey, and Joe D patrolled. It was in need of repairs for sure, we went in the final season, so maybe they let it get even more run down but hard to believe they just tore it down and didn't try to save it. New one has very little awe or mystique to it.

I appreciate you say that as someone that went to the Coliseum a lot and have fond memories there because that place was the definition of DUMP by the time I got there. I have a personal ranking system that looks at history in the park, views from the park, fan experience and the neighborhood around it. Let's just say the Coliseum didn't rank high in anything with it's best score being history but it's a clear last and that's saying something because Comisky (at least when I went) is pretty bad too.
 
The Raiders really messed things up as far as the stadium goes. Add to that the last twenty years of spending $0 on upgrades, and you have the worst stadium in MLB. That’s a whole other story. But pre- fancy suites and technology and fireworks, with the place near full every night and them winning championships, it was electric.

Haven't been since they've done a little bit of renovating, but growing up in Chicago, comiskey sucked, and the area around it was rough. There were bullet holes found in the seats during construction, likely from the housing projects across the highway. Absolutely nothing around. You get in your car and get the hell out after the game.
Now I believe those housing projects are torn down and replaced with fancy condos.

Favorite setting watch even though I hate the game….SF/Pittsburgh . Very scenic.

Cinergy Field was a dump. The new stadium looks nice. Cinergy was turf. Baseball in a turf stadium is like a different sport.

But who ever goes to Cincinnati.

Great American Ballpark was opened 20 years ago in Cincy. SMH.

That's fair ... I admittedly went during the Raiders years and that formed my opinion of it

Yea I went in the late 90s (spring of 98) and it was ROUGH ... a run down stadium, in a run down area with nothing to do pre or post game, especially for a couple of teenagers just out exploring Chicago on their own. We didn't even stay to the end of the game if I remember right. It was along the lines of Yankee Stadium's atmosphere outside the gates where the MTA cops told us before the game, "you have about 30 minutes from the end of the game to be back on the train and get out of here."
